One of the Worst Fakes Ever!...Seller is Clueless

I've never seen Rapture Irons with a Green Tungsten Weight....Let alone that they have a TCF-100 Driver shaft in them. I emailed him asking for the Serial Number, but he's claiming they are in his warehouse and out of reach.

 

I sell on eBay all the time and HATE CROOKS and THIEVES!!!

i think at this point, if you buy something from Hong Kong or from someone with no feedback, you can't complain that you got ripped off...i dont know a ping iron from a callaway iron, but i know not to buy from someone with limited feedback or from Hong Kong

Not to thread jack, but I went to a golf expo today and they have a lot of stores there and vendors and there was one store who had one of those complete bags setups. You know the ones with driver, fw, irons, and putter from the same company with a fake bag. I called them out on it and even took a real Ping G5 iron from another vendor and showed them that they were fakes and they completely argued with me saying they were legit and that I was a complete a-hole for saying that. Unfortunately, someone bought them. I tried to save someone from that ripoff but the vendor was a idiot.

I say let the big guns handle it. Call Ping directly and keep a screen shot of the auction and also the link. Send those into Ping and let there legal department handle it. You know that Ebay just wants to get there portion of the sale price. They don't really care about getting the knockoffs. Maybe this guy will get hit by the Police if Ping's legal department gets on the case. Hopefully similar to what happened in California a month ago when Cleveland got onto a fake's trail.

 

I took screen captures of each of the three auctions and will be sending them to Ping's legal department so that they can persue it if they desire.

Here's the funny part about this fake driver. I have a Ping account and I have access to serial number look ups. So I put this in the data base and wow this is a legit serial number for a Rapture driver. But wait the specs for this serial number is for a 9.0 degree Rapture driver with a Fuji shaft and multi cord grip. Nice try by the rip off guys.

I took things one step further. I took screen captures of all three of those auctions and then I contacted Ping. I told them that there were some fake rapture irons and woods on Ebay. The guy I talked to asked for me to email him the powerpoint presentation that I created. I sent it to him immediately and he was going to send it over to their legal department.

 

I hope they can get something accomplished from it.

Ping Rapture J (Japan) Irons with Graphite Design 54 gram shafts. They look good aprt from the face of the iron doesnt look like it's Titanium - you cant see the join.
