***Xenon Putters by Ken Uselton***

Hey Guys,

 

Ever hear of Xenon Golf or Ken Uselton (aka Lumpy)? Yea, me neither until a few months ago. I contacted Ken about making me a hand made putter from a block of stainless steel. I sent him a picture of what I was looking for, included some specs and turned him loose. I don't know about you, but to me, seeing my new putter being born from a block of steel is pretty special.

 

The quality is second to none, his prices are very reasonable and you could not ask for a better guy to work with or for a more enjoyable experience from start to finish.

 

The only difficult part is choosing what you want. You can go with a cnc milled head from copper or 303 stainless and have it hand finished to your specs, custom stamped, shafted and gripped with Superstroke grip for less than a lot of putters you'd pick up off the rack. Or, Ken will crank up the mini mill and create whatever you can dream up using traditional metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel and copper or something more exotic like damascus. He's even offering exotic hardwood putters with different options for the metal to be used as the face. I have to admit, these don't do it for me (Sorry, Lump) but they are certainly gorgeous and very unique.

 

Forgive my enthusiasm, but I'm a big fan of what Ken is doing. He's making custom top quality putters at reasonable prices. I'd rather not get into what I paid for mine, but if anyone has any questions or just wants to talk more about putters shoot me a message.

Working with Lump now on a putter. Copper head with a torched sort of oily look to a stainless neck. Love the look of these putters because they don't look formal. I love how the bring a fun factor aspect to different head styles. I'm sure I will be designing my own for him to make in the future.

Lee, should you post the picture of the copper one that's in the new demo thread on PT? Lump sent me a picture of the face I can throw up on here.

Edit: I decided to throw them up...this putter went out to another customer...The one i'm having Lump make is the same in head shape but i'm going to have him do a different neck and stamping...look colorwise is going to be similar...I just love it!

Ken made this one a few years back. I love the twisty long neck with the stampings. Another solid copper beauty.

Just saw this thread and thought I should add some pics of my Xenon/Uselton putters, but you already did it for me. Thanks! I'm on vacation or Id post some in hand pics. For the copper one pictured, I sent kenneth some pics of one of my favorite putters and asked him to get as close as he could to it with copper. Turned out amazing if you ask me! When I get to a better internet connection ill post some pics of my damascus w/torched ss neck that lumpy did for me. The price is soo reasonable and he doesn't stop until the putter is exactly what you want!

Not seeing what you're seeing at all...
