Tom Slighter Custom Cameron pics all finished

So here is the deal

 

My girl bought me a Scotty Cameron Studio Select newport 2

 

It is currently out at slighter getting my name on the bumpers, each kids initial in the back dots, toe stamp, deep milling and all paintfilled.

 

Question is.. Do I game this putter or put it in a putter rack in my golf room?

 

Currently gaming a cleveland classic while its away and it's a spitting image of the cameron. Just want to show it off but don't want any flaws in it.

 

Any advice?

Game it. My wife and kids got me my custom for Christmas... Played several rounds with it... Gotten to the green after a bad shot... Whippin out the putter soothes the nerves for me man...a reminder at the right moment of the important people. Therapeutic!

I haven't ever owned a putter that sat on a rack. Whether its a Bullseye, Ping Anser, Cameron that went to the custom shop, or Bettinardi tour. It's always seen the course.

Yup game it ... Next year you can say irs used and get another scotty or perhaps a custom putter with their initials and everything as well

If you putt better with the Classic, game it. If you putt better with the Scotty, game it. Nonetheless, you need to at least take the Scotty for a spin on the course and try it out! No club is meant to be stored on a shelf!

Putters were meant to be played. It can always be restored to new when you decide to retire it.

Game it. Unless its some ultra-rare older putter that you're buying or a display, all putters should see the green.

There's a guy on here who games a Jetsetter, and I think I have more respect for that choice than most others. Scotty doesn't build coasters, he builds putters. Use them for their designed purpose.

at the end of the day, it's just a putter.... in this case it has sentimental value. Game it.... they're meant to be used, not placed on a rack.

That is exactly what he meant by hack it up, it lost almost all of its collectable value the minute you customized it in a way that isn't reversible. Chalk me up as another who says use the crap out of it

Do you know how much weight the deep milling removed? How long did it take from the time you sent it in until the time you got it back?
