When you push the button it gives you a distance for whatever it picks up in the circle. If you put the flag there it gives that distance. If you put the edge of the bunker in the circle it gives that distance. It can change on the fly as you move it. At some point it's going to give you one distance as you stop moving it and it thinks its figured out what you want.

 

I'm not sure why you would want more than one object. There can only be one distance. It doesn't give a distance for everything in the viewfinder. Only what it thinks you are 'pointing' at.

If you hold the button in you can measure everything you go across.

There are two modes...in Pinseeker mode it does a good job of picking the flag out and blocking everything else, so you get a good yardage. The other mode (I can't remember what it's called), it accessed by hitting the "Mode" button. If you hold the trigger button down in this mode, it will continuously scan as you move the target around.

I am thinking of buying one of these rangefinders. Can anyone with experience of using them tell me how well they work and whether they have offered a genuine improvement to your game?
