Hilton Head Island

Any suggestions for courses to play? I know Harbor Town is one. I am staying in Sea Pines. I would like to stay on the island if possible. I am actually leaving tomorrow. It also seems that most courses ran aerification at the beginning of June.

Palmetto Dunes. I know there are 3, I heard that RTJ is the easiest but also the most costly.

HH National..not on the island but worth the 20m drive?

 

Any ideas or suggestions from anyone?

I was down there last year and we played Harbour Town and Robert Trent Jones at Palmetto on the island. Then Pinecrest, Hilton Head Lakes, and Old South just off it. Out of the five I'd say that the Jones course at Palmetto was in the worst shape in comparison to the others (and we played for free as my buddy's buddy got us on). That being said, it was still as good as most of the expensive/private clubs up this way. And quite possibly one of my favorite things about all the courses down there is that their cart paths are perfect and go the entire course.

Hilton Head National is definitely worth playing for me, I like it alot.

Hilton Head National isn't what it used to be but is still worth playing. If you're going off the island I'd play there before Old South (though Old South is still a pretty good course).

The Arthur Hills course at Palmetto Dunes is pretty nice...check out the Hills course at Palmetto Hall if you get a chance. It's a tad bit more expensive but I really like the layout.

I have played all three Palmetto Dunes courses multiple times, and also both Palmetto Hall courses. You really can't go wrong with any of those 5. I know there are many others but wanted to speak up on these.

From HHI and Caddied at Harbour Town for 7ish years. Obviously Harbour Town is great, OCean course in sea pines is decen at best never in the best shape.Heron point in Sea Pines is great, toughand long from all the way back. All Palmetto Dunes Courses are good, Palmetto Hall courses are good. In Bluffton there is HH National, Old South, Pine Crest and Tradition, they are all good for the money
