Age/Value of Ping Zing 2 Putter?

Hello,

 

Does anyone know of a web site or service that can give approximate age and value of older Ping putters. I have a Zing to in pretty decent shape and am wondering what it is worth. From what information I can find I would guess it's an early 90's manufacture and worth about $50. I am thinking about selling it and just want to be sure.

I own one of those as well. $50 may be a bit much....I'd guess closer to $30-35. See the attached link.

old ping putters aren't worth much because they're nothing special by today's standards. the designs were revolutionary at the time but now everyone has those designs. you think "collector," but that market died when Scotty Cameron got big, and even his collector market is shrinking now. great putter, classic stick....I'll never sell my anser, but not worth much

The Ping BeCu putters are worth more, but still generally not an exorbitant amount.

$25 - $35 is about all the bring. I bought one from a guy for $5 in nice shape but didn't
Like it as much as I thought and gave it alway.

Are any of the old pings worth much? I see a local craigslist guy trying to sell old Ping putters from $100-$495.

My understanding is that the Scottsdale ones hold some value.

I see people tring to sell the Darby F becu with the titanium pixels for a few hundred but not sure if they do. Beautiful putter. Wish I hadn't let mine go.

[/quote] there was a time when collectors were grabbing old ping putters asfast as they could. but that is long gone. I can't see any of those putters going for over $100 now and they were all in great condition. the only ones that are still really of value are the Scottsdale ansers, of which there are multiple varieties with different values attached. the "F" series with ti pixel insert were also quite favored. and anything with a Jim wells serial number. but not much else

I have about ten different older Ping putters in BeCu, BeNi, MgBr and SS. The BeCu and BeNi are usually worth more and are great sounding and feeling putters. The SS ones are usually a bit light feeling.

I have been using my BeCu Zing2 putter lately it has been working great. New isn't always better when it comes to putters.

I picked up a Zing 2 a few months ago. Haven't really used it much, but the way I've been putting lately I'm sure I will soon. I think I have the SS because it is rather light. Whatever works though.

Searching ebay "completed" or "sold" auctions is a great way to judge value. Sadly, older Ping putters aren't worth much at all, except for some rare and desirable models. BeCu and BeNi models as popular as mentioned. Great value in quality clubs.
