Fedora Hats on the course?

I have this fedora hat from Nike. Does not provide enough sun protection so I don't wear it much.

I dontlikethe black ones. But the straw and raffia ones can look pretty good in the right place.

No fedora for me but I do keep a boonie hat in my golf bag for times when the sun is beating down on me and I'd rather not sweat through the bill of my baseball cap

^Im thinking about getting a boonie hat as well. My local military surplus has a ton of those hats in stock with different variety to choose from. Might give this a try.

Those Nike ones do not like fedoras (the one Bogart is wearing), more like trilby (the narrow brim type Sinatra likes). My opinion is that almost any other type of hat is much more cooler and better looking than baseball cap/golf visor.

You can wear a fedora but you better dress to match it. High tech golf clothes and a fedora is weird. Cargo shorts.....eh....just don't. A straw fedora, classy charcoal slacks, dark saddle shoes and a fresh white polo would be proper. So would a colored shirt with vest and dark fitted shorts with a casual shoe would be nice. ****** bags have ruined this classic design. It's up to people who know to keep the style proper.

Avoid "styled" cloth fedoras. Stick with classic shapes and materials. Goorin bros or Tommy B

There's an amateur tour in the UK called the Trilby Tour. It was started by fashion designer William Hunt who wanted to bring back a sense of style to the links. Originally it was just at Stoke Park (where the James Bond golf game was shot - with 007 sporting a trilby) but now it is a full blown tour - and televised on Sky Sports!! They're designed to be run like pro events and all players must wear a trilby

Now I'm no miliner so not too sure on the difference, but it's a similar style

I got the idea from a buddy of mine when I saw him pull out his boonie hat from his golf bag. They're cheap enough where i bought a couple of them in different colors. I use them mostly for hiking, golf, the beach, water parks, etc...
