Golf in Colorado During Solheim Cup

Coming to the Solheim Cup in about a month with 6 other couples. Wives are going to the Solheim Cup and the guys are going to play golf 3 days. Staying at the Hyatt Place Denver South/Park Meadows in Lone Tree and need some help finding some courses to play within about a 30 minute drive. Looking for courses with green fees between $50 and $75. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

I am going to be in the area the same time you are, but not for the cup. My buddy and I are flying in for a long weekend of golf. I have been scouring the "course, memberships" forum to find input on quality courses in the Denver area. I suggest searching the word "denver or colorado" That brought back a lot of great threads that people have already created. You could also click on the "Rockies" form on the "course, memberships" home page. If you still have questions after that let me know. I will check back. If you are going to play a lot of golf you might consider the colorado green saver discount card for $50. Link below. Might save you a bunch of cash if you are planning on playing any of those courses.

50 to 75 bucks is not gonna get you too much on a weekend around Denver. Best Courses that are public to play around that general area are:

1. The Ridge at Castle Pines North - around $145 on the weekends
2. Green Valley Ranch - Around $65 on the weekend
3. Lone Tree - Around $70 on the weekends
4. Saddle Rock or Murphy Creek - around $60 on the weekend.


Have fun, play in the morning! Weather comes in around 3PM most days.

It is on the opposite side of town, but you should try to get out to Riverdale Dunes if you have the chance. Buffalo Run is also a solid option. I would second the suggestions of Saddle Rock and Murphy Creek.

[/quote]You should check out Commonground and South Suburban. I also agree with the recommendation of Lone Tree--very good course. South Suburban is inexpensive but decent--not great but decent for the price.

Fossil Trace is one of the nicest courses I have ever played! Its in great condition and the layout is fun but challanging...the dinosaur bones are a nice touch.
