Four Seasons Troon, Boulders, or other?

The wife and I, together with another couple or two, are planning a long weekend in May to Scottsdale. Guys will be golfing in the mornings and wives will be spa'ing. We did this at the Four Seasons Troon two or three years ago and had a great time.

We were considering trying the Boulders or another resort this time, just for the sake of trying something new, but don't want to be disappointed. Is Troon the best or would anyone recommend the Boulders, or another resort, over Troon?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

me and my dad are going in april and we are going to stone creek and tpc scottsdale. There are so many courses in scottsdale

Definately hit We Ko Pa Cholla Course while you are there. The Saguaro course is not nearly as good.

Troon North Monument is far superior to the boulders in terms of quality of golf.

Another option would be to stay in a resort called Copperwind in Fountain Hills (just over the mountains from scottsdale so you get nicer views) and feel free to play at numerous courses. My favs are We Ko Pa Cholla, SunRidge Canyon, Both Troon North Courses, and Talking Stick NORTH (south is a boring course). There are alot of good, but alot more bad. Make sure you look at the couse before you go play, alot get good reps but turn out to be bad...

If the true question is choosing between The Boulders and Troon, Troon wins hands down. The Troon courses are nicer than the Boulders in my opinion, plus you have your choice of 2 courses vs 1 at Boulders.

Eagle Mountain is in the same area as WeKoPa and a great tack. Fastest greens I've ever played.

My question was really more directed toward trying to choose where to stay: Troon or Boulders. We've done Troon and it was great but have heard good things about the Boulders as well.

I know the Troon courses - Monument and Pinnacle and they're great. I'm pretty sure that the Boulders has two courses as well- North and South (unless they're 9 holers, but I don't think so).

Has anyone stayed at both Four Seasons Troon and the Boulders? If so, could you tell me which you preferred and why?

If you are looking for a place to stay thats not necessarily tied to any golf course, there are many different and possibly better places to stay than Troon or Boulders.

Go Boulders if you are only choosing between Troon and Boulders. Troon has better golf though.

You will not find a nicer hotel than the Four Seasons. I believe it has won all kinds of awards.

stayed at Four Season last year...stayed this year at Sanctuary ....much nicer and if you are taking your wives..much more romantic and better spa which will give the guys more free golf time.

Go Boulders..Service is second to none and its far enough away that you fell as though your on a different planet. The boulders have a serene peace to them and the golfs not to shabby either!
