just spoke with him and he told me that he is at UPS right now and that they will pick up the boxes later this afternoon and the traking #'s should work this afternoon. He said that he had to take money out of his IRA to refund and that he has a lot of money in his Paypal but it is frozen due to a member here. I am just relaying the info I got from him, take it as you will

Why doesn't he take the boxes to UPS, instead of the possibility of them getting "stolen" this time?

I know I wasn't involved in any transactions with this guy, but I thought I could offer a suggestion. Has any tried contacting the local news were this guy lives? These companies die for this stuff, they will probably even be willing to have someone further investigate it. Plus, if this guys name and face gets out to people he cares about for what he has done you might start to see some more positive actions.

Did you happen to ask him to let you speak to someone at UPS to confirm that he is there and shipping us MO's and stuff? Why on earth would you ship a money order in a box anyways? Makes no sense whatsoever. Just more expensive on his end.

This is actually a very good idea. News channels and papers love that kind of stuff. Could get his attention and cause the community to stand against him.

I did not ask to speak to an employee (probably should have). He said he lots of boxes to ship and was filling out a ton of forms (customs forms?) and I am sure he is still there if he actually was in fact there. SO if anyone wants to call and ask, that would probably be a good idea.

Since I'm not from the states I don't know much about IRA but I've found out it's for saving up pension. The guy is twenty years old!?! Why would a youngster like that even have and IRA account??

Well, about his PayPal account I hope he's got a lot of money there. Maybe the only way we'll get anything back.

Anyone know more about PayPal disputes? Is there no way he'll get the money out of the account or is there a way for him to get around that problem?

Well from what I remember someone speaking of a couple days ago. Kid has a reputation around town for writing bad checks. Therefore the DSP would probably like to have another report of the fool doing that.

I just called the bank and they have told me that his account is no longer active and that this check is worthless. Also, she said based on what she has been told about his account, that I should go straight to the police. She has been writing bad checks for a while it seems.

 

Fraudulent checks are a nice offense, much better than the petty charges he thought he was facing.

Just called the Camden, DE police department again. Was told to contact my authorities immediately, so that is what I am going to do.

I run the UPS dept at work and the UPS label that is printed out is valid that day. So if it was printed on saturday it would have been valid by the end of the day on saturday. I would say it is just another fake number!! :drinks:

I am pretty sure UPS tracking numbers get into the system much faster than USPS numbers.

Along with the Bad check felony, he may have moved into mail fraud, another felony. Those of you involved should contact the local DA . sad thing is it's a 20 year old doing this?? and not smart at that, as he keeps piling on the charges. should be interesting.
