I'm the guy with the PayPal dispute. I've stopped all communication with CCP - simply a waste of time! A few days ago I've contacted USPS to see if the tracking number I was supplied was any good.

Here's part of the answer:

 

"Thank you for contacting us about tracking your mail piece

with label number LC861772257US.

 

There is no record of item LC861772257US in our database."

 

Excactly as expected.

I am sorry to hear that this has happened. I almost got screwed as well but, for some reason he decided to refund my money. I put up a WTB for a set of MP32's. Stephen contacted me immediately and said he had a new set for $500. I thought it was ok since he was an "Approved Seller" and he had (at the time) 5 Positive comments. I paid via paypal for the clubs to be overnighted. He sent me a tracking number the next day. Two days later, I get the clubs. They were not MP32's but an old beat up set of Titleist 680's. And, they were shipped priority. I did get a refund from Paypal on Friday. Do not believe ANYTHING this guy tells you.

I know we'd all like to help get this resolved as soon as possible, but as the old addage goes, "too many cooks spoil the soup."

 

Best thing we can do is sit back and let GXgolfer help those involved figure things out.

Has anyone's UPS tracking number become active yet?

I sent him my titleist 905T for a set of titleist 680 2-PW and I asked him for a tracking number and he gave me somebody else's tracking number that lives in san mateo, ca.

 

I've been trying to get in touch w/ him thru pm and no words yet and if he's reading this I hope he knows that I have buddy who will be dropping by his HOUSE!!!

 

A quick look at the tote board now shows (assuming Emperoryders 905T was worth the $300 CCP was asking for the 680's...the same 680's that I thought I paid for and was receiving)........

 

$3568!!!!!

 

P.S. - Good to know the 680's he sold me were a popular item. If I ever get them, I can resell them!!! ;)

Well i guess ill hop on this train. Me and steve did a 905R(his) for my r5 TP straight up. I sent mine UPS and it got there in 2 days. He said his was fedex and never gave me a tracking number. He called me and assured me itd be there monday(shipped tuesday before?) and it never came. So i asked for the shipping # and he just all of a sudden folded and sent mine back. He said hed include 35 dollars(the cost i paid to ship mine) in the package and itd all be square. He never sent the 35 bux and i wasted 3 weeks of my life with this guy. Also, its clever that when he shipped mine back i got a tracking # within less than a day..yet the original package 2 weeks no number.

 

I guess its a lesson learned ;)

 

P.S. I was completely calm and collective thru this whole thing. Anyone threatening with violence...thats just wrong I know I was pissed off but I never acted out of line in any form or way. If i get a money order for 35 dollars I'll be ecstatic...considering I was surprised I even got my r5 TP back to begin with.

Stephen has been contacted by a local agency there. The officers have told him to stay away from the board and make things right with these individuals. He(the officer), said to wait a day or two to give Stephen the chance to make it right.

 

People should contact their local police agencies and fill out a police report and then have your local agency contact the Delaware State Police. If people do that, that will be where all the collected information of those involved should end up, with the Delaware State Police.

 

Stephen never worked for Crippler Creek but his information is fully known. Any other guesses or other information that may taint the case should not be given out in public. See the other posts in this thread for complete info

Many people use Internet Service Providers that don't have static IP addresses. Its not reliable form of tracking a person. The IPs are also done by posting activity. He's not posted in a few days so, there is no record of where he is currently. The IPs I have are from DE.

It's readily apparent that this P.O.S. has tied up quite a bit of clubs and equipment from a good part of this discussion board. He almost had me and tried to pull the old overnight it I need to see if the shaft works for me garbage. I was lucky. I'm sorry so many got ripped.

Here is my experience:

 

Placed an add in the WTB forum stating that I was looking for a set of forged clubs 690 CBs Macgregor 1025s etc... I was contacted by CCP stating that he had a set of 690Cbs. That was a Thursday night. I xferred $250 paypal funds on Friday morning. After a week still no clubs. He informed me that the shipping was messed up and that he would reship to me. So the following Thursday, I get home and there is a box. Instead of Cbs they are Mbs. They were also not in near as good of condition as the Cbs that I was supposed to get. I contacted him and he informed me that he had sworn I wanted MBs and shipped the MBs instead of CBs. He offered to paypal shipping to me to send them back. I suggested that these would work for what I wanted to use and that if he would refund me $75 to make up for the condition I would be satisfied. He did refund me the $75. I figured a bird in hand beats a bird in the bush.

 

I did not get the exact clubs that I wanted, however I consider myself fortunate to at least have broke somewhat even. I hope that things work out for everyone else. I am a little perturbed at myself that I did not do a little more research before pulling the trigger. Usually, I am very thorough. I don't know why I did not do more research. It was probably because of the dollar value of the transaction. I am not saying that $225 is not a lot of money, but that if it would have been $500 it would have gotten more attention. This is the first piece of golf equipment that I purchased over the net and it will most likely be the last. My local shop treats me great, however they did not have any used forged clubs lying around. Maybe, it worked out for me a little better since I did not threaten violence etc...

 

The moral of the story for me is that I will treat internet deals the same way that I treat gambling. Never bet more than you can afford to lose.

davo- I came out better than most. I am thankful for that. I don't know if it was due to luck or acting civilized. Most likely a combination of both.

 

When I posted my WTB, I was contacted by several members with clubs that they wanted to sell. It is unfortunate that I was unable to send my money to them. I would have rather had a deal with less headaches.

 

I am glad to see that Golfwrx is overhauling their rating system. Seeing the green "Good" feedback did influence my decision.

 

I do hope that CCP does the stand up thing and see that people get their money back. No matter how long it takes.

The only possible reason I could think of is because USPS is closed on the weekends in alot of locations.
