Well i've got a pretty good feeling that i'm gettin screwed as well here man! It's so frustrating having your hands tied fully knowing that im probaly out 300 bucks Canadian. Let's hope this can be fixed. I'm going to contact the fraud department of my local police and see if they can do anything for me but i doubt it. Im also hoping that once the money order is cashed my bank can perhaps track what account it went into in Deleware and go from there. Christ i'm grabbin at straws here!!

Let me know if your local police department is willing to do anything. I didn't bother because I doubt they would be able to do anything...but I mean it can't hurt to try right? Yeah I'm out like $250USD for the irons I shipped him.

I am in for 260 U.S. to Stephen as well for an R7 460 TP which i sent a money order for on Monday February 5, 2007. We spoke constantly for a week previous about it and everything seemed kosher i sent him the money order and there is not a tracking number for my driver which can be normal when using USPS and sending to Canada. I've got his Full name and address as well as the new course which he says he's moving to for work. I'm really not sure what to do, i've sent him numerous pm's and he swears that my club is on the way brand new in the box. I've got all my pm's that i've sent him and received back. I spoke to my bank today and they said i should contact the fraud department of my local police and see what they will do. I hate shite like this.

One of the last PM's I received from CCP...received it this past wednesday

"Victor...

So im really f-ing fed up with UPS right now. It's not in Vancouver, but it's not on it's way... I asked if it was in customs, they said "we wont know that until it's thru custom's".... why didn't they tell us 3 days ago it wasn't where it was.... Is it really in customs... or is it really on it's way, or is it lost... I can't get the same answer from anyone. I called everday for the past 5 days now. Im getting so f-ing frustrated... if it doesn't show up by Friday... i'll pay you for the irons until it gets there, or i'll re-ship them back to you, although I wanna avoid shipping stuff to Canada anymore.

Stephen"

Ironic that after so much trouble shipping to Canada, that he'd still engage in a transaction with another Canadian...

i posted a WTB ad for a set of mizuno mx-23s and immediately received a PM from CCP. CCP said he had a new set of 23s still in the plastic for $350. i asked if he would send pictures and he said that he would 'when they got their camera back.' he kept assuring me that they were new in the plastic. he asked that i not use paypal and send him a cashier's check or money order. something just did not feel right and i opted for another set of irons.

while i am appreciative of the efforts to resolve this issue, i think it sheds light on the "approved seller" designation. seeing that CCP had this designation, i (incorrectly) assumed some sense of security. i have read the official definition of "approved seller," but i think we really need to look at how users "achieve" this status.

there are way too many flawless transacations on this site to let members like CCP tarnish the reputation. unfortunately, i deleted my PMs to/from CCP after i purchased the other set of clubs. thanks for your help.

So i was pm'd his phone number and just spoke with Stephen for 15 minutes on his Cell. First off he sounds like a young guy and was prepared to answer my questions. I am by no way going to be the go between here, he said if you have pending issues with him to call him and i told him i would post that.

Truthfully i don't know what the hell to believe he gave me his word that my club shipped earlier last week but there isn't a tracking number. He also said he would not cash the money order until i got the club and even offered to send it back to me.

I'm going to hold off on contacting any police for now and see where the hell all of this goes. Ive spoken to my bank and they said i could claim a "bond of indemnity" which is basically stating that the money order i sent has been stolen and i will get my money back but i'm assuming it would also mean that the popo would be knocking on Stephen's door.

He also said that he's out of town right now at a "conference" and can only check his pm's occasionally....I truly don't know what the hell to do here!

This is one of the last things he pm'd me on Thursday February 8th, 2007

"Yeah everythings fine. People are now out to get me, and all of them in fact have been refunded, and had their items shipped to them in a timely manner. I had a few things we believe to be stolen from the club the day I shipped all their stuff out, now im out their equipment, my money, and now im being accused of even more stuff. Your r7 is on the way, no worries.... I have a few people on here, who are telling me im getting dicked over... and you know, I am. But it's okay.... im now done with GolfWRX and im sorry that people don't have anymore time on their hands then to single out ONE person. "

That's it....we're all wrong in singling him out....he hasn't done anything wrong, and he has done everything he said he would do....all these bad people are picking on him.....

Anyone know the answer to whether filing charges has to be done in the county where Cripple Creek is, or in the county where he now is (I'm guessing same as Dover, DE)? It seems like this would be gray area as this falls under mail / wire fraud...right?

Contact the police department in the city, or sherrif's department in the county, where this guy is located currently. They will advise you if need to file a report with your local law agency. Even if they say to file a report with another law enforcement agency, press them to also take a report.

If ALL of you who have been defrauded start filing individual complaints on the same guy in a relatively condensed time frame, you will get law enforcement attention.

Even if you think filinig a police report will be fruitless, do so, just in case you can recover something from your homeowners insurance policy. You will need a police report/case no. to file an insurance claim.

Just a quick hint....www.zabbasearch.com, Stephen Sigmon, Delaware.

I can assure you guys that the police will do absolutely zero...although they will set up a speed trap and give you a speeding ticket if you decide to drive down there and take care of it personally. It is a mystery to me how the police force currently define "protect and serve."

Not true. Take 30-minutes and file the report. Give law enforcement a chance to do their job. I went through a similar situation a while back...the best thing I did was file a police report.

GX, thanks for helping out our fellow members here....

Friends, I am sorry for what happened... I was 5 minutes away from getting into the same situation, as I shared with GX, I pm Stephen for the Centershaft Scotty Newport Beach (with the blue cover) and he said that one was not available, but he had another one also for $700. When I asked him for a pic, he sent me the SAME pic that he used for posting on For Sale Forum, and he said he has MANY other Camerons in his collection... I was so tempted to buy the centershaft, but I realized something strange there... so I backed out, asked him if he has a Mid-slant which is cheaper, and never heard back from him again...

Well i guess ill hop on this train. Me and steve did a 905R(his) for my r5 TP straight up. I sent mine UPS and it got there in 2 days. He said his was fedex and never gave me a tracking number. He called me and assured me itd be there monday(shipped tuesday before?) and it never came. So i asked for the shipping # and he just all of a sudden folded and sent mine back. He said hed include 35 dollars(the cost i paid to ship mine) in the package and itd all be square. He never sent the 35 bux and i wasted 3 weeks of my life with this guy. Also, its clever that when he shipped mine back i got a tracking # within less than a day..yet the original package 2 weeks no number.

I guess its a lesson learned ;)

P.S. I was completely calm and collective thru this whole thing. Anyone threatening with violence...thats just wrong I know I was pissed off but I never acted out of line in any form or way. If i get a money order for 35 dollars I'll be ecstatic...considering I was surprised I even got my r5 TP back to begin with.

I was lucky enough to hold off from doing any deals with CCP and I know that this post is only for those that did but:

It's people like you that have this kind of attitude towards the police that deserve the speeding ticket.. ;)

Count me in as burned also. I paid for a set of Ping I5 irons on 01/29/07. He said they were going out Priority Mail the next day. Never got anything. I sent several PM's asking for a tracking number. He tells me that the package was returned to the club and he will personally mail it on 2/6/07 and he would throw in some Titleist golf balls for the error. I sent another PM asking for the delivery confirmation number. He gives me one. I just checked it & that tracking number was delivered to soomeone in San Jose - I am in SoCal!

Being a medically retired police officer, I should take offense to the one POST but for the guys sake that got screwed I'll refrain. Absolutely document this incident with the local law enforcement. In the large Ca. city I worked, where there were shootings, rapes, homicides oh and "speed traps" this type of incident would be handled by a "Mail-Out" where the Police Dep't. issues you a case number (#07-12345) and then you would fill out the pertinent information.

Many times people don't report a crime thinking that somebody else will alert the authorities and then when the perp./turd gets caught he/she only has priors in traffic (Those dang "Speed Traps") and then he/she gets a light sentence if they get sentenced at all. When the local constabulary gets there and you explain the situation stress the fact that you need it documented for the pending class action lawsuit or for your insurance. While you await the police it would be a good idea to best describe what club(s) you were to receive. this can be done on either a piece of paper or 3X5 card. This is important when it comes time to collect your moolah. Be accurate, be fair.

Good Luck and I am hoping for all of you to get your stuff and get this debacle settled.

Benny

P.S. It is always a good idea to have photos of your equipment and serial numbers for those going down "Retail Avenue"

Recieved the same pm about a UPS tracking number that doesnt work.

Unfortunately I paid using a paypal balance so no credit card claim to be filed

UPDATED WITH MORE INFO

See this post for updated info:

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/index.php?s=...st&p=438129

A GolfWRX member sent this to me:

I have been in contact with my local authorities & I have also spoke with a decteve in Camden, DE. His name is Dective Darling Please call him @ 302-698-9232 & inform him of your troubles with Stephen & keep me posted.

Ok, here is the deal. I spoke to Detective Darling and here is what he told me. Give the mail a few days and then contact your local authorities. The crime for each of us falls on where WE live. However, to get this loser we then need to contact the Delaware State Police. That number is 302-697-4455. This case is out of Detective Darling's physical jurisdiction. Detective Darling did speak to Stephen and coached him through how to make all of this right. Now we wait to see if he is capable of making it right.

Another member spoke with the Detective and he supposedly is also speaking with Sigmon and told him "To make it right". Please be sure to contact the detective if you have anymore questions that info relayed above because he is in contact with Sigmon.

I just spoke with the detective, and said that Sigmon is located just outside their jurisdiction, so it is not his responsiblity. He said "to give it a couple days till the packages arrive", and "that Stephen is refunding everybody". I wonder what happens to the shaft that I've sent him as a trade. I should go with my instincts - I found it weird that he was interested in EVERYTHING that I had to trade. He settled on the shaft as trade, but all of it interested him.

If you have Stephen's phone number, can you pm it to me?

I also received this PM from Steve earlier this afternoon...

"Victor,

The UPS number is: 1z1w968a6891236985, USPS was closed when I got there, but they said 4-7 days. I've also spoken to the Camden Police Department, and talked to Detective Darling, he kinda laughed when I gave him all of everyones tracking numbers, told me to give them the numbers, and get off the site. So im just letting you know that untill Tuesday I will be off of the site. Thanks Victor.

Stephen"

I'll wait a day or so and see if the UPS tracking number is valid...if not I'm going to contact the Detective and let him know another person who had problems dealing with CCP

I sent you a PM. As for trade items, I would use Fair Market Value from ebay or pga value guide.

GX,

Just wanted to say thanks for helping us all out with CCP. Like many have mentioned before, it's not your duty or obligation to take action for us, but all the information you have provided have allowed us to band together and hopefully resolve all our issues with CCP.

Thanks again,

victor

I have experienced this situation myself and I've lost a few $$$. I understand the initial confusion some may have had with the "approved seller" tag and GolfWRX has made adjustments as needed. Thanks again for the great comments but, I really just want to make sure things are communicated properly and to help as many people as possible out of this mess.

Well I may be one of the few who have not been burned by him. Here's how it went down...

1. I bought a Studio Stainless Putter for what was a GREAT price

2. Said it shipped out Monday (3 weeks ago)

3. Never came, refunded my money.

4. Said the guy who shipped out the stuff stole it all that Monday-6 packages

5. Seeing as I believed him (bad move) I decided to buy 2 more putters and 2 dozen balls, he said he had at the CLUB

6. Again some great deals, I said I would pay when I got the stuff and he said fine

7. Waited about 3 days before the stuff would ship out, he said he would do it express mail-overnight

8. turns out he shipped it priority mail-i got the tracking number

9. box comes, not 2 putters and 2 dozen balls but another putter

10. pm'ed him about it, said i got the wrong box and just to keep the putter as a good faith gesture

so I am out nothing but what I thought were great deals, did get a free putter

If you do not get a refund or can't finish a deal with him:

Just got off the phone with the Delaware State Police. Each victim has to file a police report with their local authorities. Once that happens, our local authorities will contact the Delaware State Police. Their number is 302-697-4454. Dial 0 to get the desk officer.
