I have a buddy that plays a few events on that tour. Jake Toliver, real good player. I haven't played any events on the PJGT, but heard it was decent tour especially for northern players to play a few events over the winter.

Im in it but havnt played any tournaments yet. I am playing in one at the end of this month and 2 in March. I think it is a pretty good tour that plays nice courses, but not enough people know about it for the tournaments to be filled.

its alright, not really that much competiton and most i played had about 10-15 kids in the field. Not really recognized my coaches or NJGS that much either. But they are good winter tournaments, play some great courses, and prepare you for the spring. Helps you get back into tournament mode. Also, they are great for someone just starting up the game and getting into then junior stuff.

a tournament is a tournament, if you shoot a good score, then colleges will still take it into consideration if you present it, you cant base your resume on them though.

im not saying that if you shoot 64 in a PJGT a college coach won't look at you, im saying that if you finish 1st in one of 8 people it wont look as good as if you finish 5th of 72 in an AJGA.

Like you said you cant base a resume on them, 10 1st place finishes in those wont cut it.

Also the tournament strength rating is lower in plantations.

im going to try and get in a few fall2005-all of 2006 was a big slump for me so i didnt sign up for tournaments but when i notice that PJGT is allowing 19 year olds i feel i still have a chance to play competitively while i get my swing back

FYI(my swing flaw is fast hips) my right heel comes off the ground before i start the club down

we are on the same page, colleges dont really look at finishes though because strength of the field is always differnt, they compare your score to the course. Scores are what matter not place. if you have a 72 scoring average on legit courses for tournaments but never won one, you still will be looked at positivley
