Lighter shafts in fairway woods. Anybody using this combo?

Curious if anyone is using 60 gram shafts in their 3 woods. Would you tip these shafts the same as you would the heavier shafts normally found in them?

I have a v2 59 g in a 16 degree Adams 3446f. Awesome combo. The thing hits rockets.
I have a Blueboard 63 in an Adams 5050 13 degree. Also a great combo.

Tipping would be the same regardless of weight - unless the specific shaft manufacturer happens to explicitly have different different instructions for the different weights - which I've never seen.

I play an attas 6 in my 3 wood and it's been the best switch for me.

Obviously we all swing different so even if it's lighter weight the shaft properties that suit you are gonna be different. If you are wanting to try out lighter, try to find a local fitting day from different brands.

When I purchased my Titleist 913 Fd 15, I tried a lighter shaft. I hit it pretty well, but had a tighter dispersion pattern with the heavier shaft. Ended up getting the one with an 82gr Project X shaft.

If I decide to add a 5 wood, I am going to try out the lighter shafts again. I was a little rusty when I made the last purchase, so maybe things will be different this time around.

The general rule is that your fairway wood shafts should be about 10 grams heavier than your driver shaft. There are exceptions, of course, and the only way you will know for sure is to test out different weights.

I would also stay away from tipping the shaft differently because it is lighter. You may gain some speed by going lighter, but it is unlikely that the increase will be significant enough to require a flex change. If the lighter shaft feels weak or produces inconsistent results, it is probably too light for you - not too soft.

This is the exact setup that I have in my Fd. I really think I want to go to a lighter shaft, but not sure if that's my issue or not?

How light did you go? I was thinking high 70s or low 60s.
