CMB Players

Have you found anything you like more? I hit the some of the new taylor mades and can't say any of them felt better than the CMB. Plan on hitting the apex pro to see how they feel. Distance is hard to compare because you have to put the loft at what you currently play to compare. I did not try the speed bladez but might give them a go as well.

If I were in the market I would look at the S55. But I'm really happy with the CMB and plan on sticking fat

I went to the xforged from the CMB. Very similar to feel if not better for me.

The CMB's are great irons i hit the APEX PROS with the kbs 110 at golftown with my CMB's kbs ctaper and i liked the feel of the CMB's much better, the APEX PRO"s play slightly longer due to the lighter shaft.

Cmb is awesome. I would say cally x forged and mp54s are equally good, including distance losses on slight mishits.

I just switched from CMBs to 714 ap2s with ctapers. Nothing is as sweet as CMBs I tried XTDs the blades felt smaller I just wasn't impressed at all. Reason I made a switch was just to try something new. I was a digger with the CMBs.

I played Pro a12's in 2012. Then CMB's in 2013. Now I'm back to a12 Pro's. I was thinking I wanted a set of i25's when they debut, but after the range session today, I'll stick with that I've got.

I haven't found anything I like more. I have been really satisfied with the CMB's. They are very smooth and have a nice soft feel to them. It will take and act of congress to get them out of my bag!

Local PGA superstore has a used set 4-GW with c taper stiff for $300. Very though to resist. I don't think I'd hit the ctapers well.

I love my CMB's. The only irons that tempt me are the raw finish Adams MB2's. I'll get a set of those one of these days.

But I have no interest in any other irons.

I am looking at replacing my Pings this season and the CMBs are one of the clubs on my radar. I just don't know what to think about the C-Tapers, don't have any experience with them. I tend to have a low-medium ball flight.

I miss mine so much. The CMB/PXI combo was absolutely money for me. I hope these thugs that stole them can pay the restitution so I can buy them back at some point!!!

Just replace the shafts with something that suits you.

I hope i like my S3's more! CMB's were great sticks they took my 6 year old J33cb's out of the bag. Definitely soft and more forgiving than they are given credit for. I was probably stupid to sell them but oh well, there will be more

I think the only thing I will change is grip color, hybrid for my 4 iron and possibly a more cavity back iron for my 5 and maybe 6. I've struggled a bit with my high irons. It's winter gold so I should be patient right now.

I was shocked to find the C-Tapers in the CMB's yielded such a high ballflight for me. KBS website says the C-Tapers are low-launching but I have not found that to be the case at all in the CMB's...

Cmb irons are awesome. I didn't like ctaper so had tour concepts. Switched to ap2 and now to the 54s. I personally preferred 54s. More forgiving on mishits. My experience.

I've been playing DG S300 shafts for years and years. I like to feel the kick of the shaft, but I do find a bit of dispersion with them, especially if I jump on them to get a little extra distance. I have a set of Apex Plus with Rifle 6.0 and find the dispersion is a lot tighter, but I don't feel the kick of the shaft quite the same. Would the C-tapers be similar to the Rifles?

In fact, I was used to that kick and went back to the fitter who built mine (Adams guy and builds all his clubs) and got back on the launch monitor and had him watch me to make sure I was loading the shaft. After the numbers and he said yes, it was smooth sailing from there

I understand that. What shaft to you end up getting? I went with X100's in my CMB's. I didn't care for the way the Ctapers felt.

If you like the way your S300's feel, but are lacking in dispersion, maybe try going X100 SS

A friend of mine plays CMBs and I've hit them a fair amount on the range ... they're definitely nice.

I've managed to stick with my MP-63's .. and of course would recommend giving them or any other Mizunos a try.

I spent some time today testing the new stuff against my CMB's with c taper stiffs, including the new xtd's. I liked the xtd's better. They were about half a club longer, but the main thing I liked is that they looked more compact. Offset looked less pronounced as well. Xtd's just looked better overall at address. I've always played blades until I switched to the cmb's last year, so clearly the compact look appeals to me. I was also impressed with the apex pro irons, but not enough to switch. The only other club I'd consider switching to was the mp 4. Shorter and less forgiving than my cmb's, but I actually feel more confident with a blade. Plus the looks and feel are as good as it gets.

Just bought a set of CMBs x-flex off Ebay for $280 - Hard to pass up at that price, currently have the orginal AP2s but hit a buddies CMB last year and really liked the feel. Loved like the feel of the c-taper shaft. Now I just need it to warm up so I can play them.

I love when this happens. True WRXer here. He's really happy with his current irons and going to stick with them for the foreseeable future. One month later, has bagged a different set and not even the one he mentioned in the post. Much respect, Anth.
