Plenty of talk about the TPX but not much on the TP. Would like to hear opinions, especially from those playing the Lethal

For me, TM TP (non x) is an amazing ball!

I played Lethal last year and enjoyed it. However, it left me wanting a bit more approach spin and longing for more green side control. Late last year I got a hold of Callaway SR2. I was shocked that SR2 was a bit longer off the tee than Lethal, but really excelled in approach and green side spin I was looking for. Shockingly, SR2 also felt better, and I enjoyed Lethals feel.

I was so pleased with SR2, I had given zero thought to testing anything else for 2014. On a whim, my buddy and I decided to run through some balls on Trackman, including Lethal, SR2 and the new TP. Trackman confirmed what I already knew, SR2 was a better ball for my game versus Lethal. What neither I nor my fitter expected, was that TM TP SMOKED both balls in EVERY category! TP has more ball speed through the bag than both SR2 and Lethal... TP felt better, launched slightly higher, flew longer, stopped quicker (200-500 rpm more spin long irons through wedges) and was simply the best ball of the bunch, for me.

The one place SR2 beat TP was driver spin, SR2 was 200-300 rpm less spin than TP. However, with my swing it didn't help SR2. Because I launched TP about 1º higher with a hair more spin, TP stayed in the air longer and actually proved to be almost 11 yards longer than Lethal and 6 yards longer than SR2.

So, needed less to say, TP is my ball for 2014 (and if I can control my ball ho-ing, maybe longer)!

Well G, looks like I might need to try the TM TP out as well.. like you, I thought the ball I was playing now was the ball for me until I tried the SR2, and I do like.. if it came in Yellow, that would be the 2014 gamer for certain, but I will switch back and forth with the Chrome's depending on the course..Now you throw in your review of the TM TP, looks like I will get getting a sleeve of those to try out next... Damn it, turning into a ball ho now.... just great!!

I prefer the TP over the TPx personally and my Head Pro feels the same way. The one area where I think it is markedly better is on its softer feel. The TPx is a bit harsh IMO and the TP feels much softer off the club face. I also like my wedge game and putter with the TP better.

Well I was a club ho at a dark time in my life, but after intense electroshock therapy, and the withdraw shakes, I finally kicked that habit... Now you give me a taste of what the TM TP can be, and now those ho feelings are starting to come back.. A ho is a ho, no matter what.. and now I see the darkness on the horizon....please, make these thoughs leave my head.. I don't wanna be no ho no mo.....

96-98 with a relatively shallow angle of attack. For my swing speed I would say TP and SR2 are the best new balls of the year... I would happily play either.

Lethal vs TP, which ball do u guys find to be a better all around ball? I did not like the tpx ball, thought it was too hard & not as long off the tee as the lethal. Is it worth buying the tp ball?

I've posted a few times around here comparing the two, in short, for me, TP crushed Lethal in every way (Lethal was my gamer last year). TP was longer, softer and had spin where I needed it (around and into the greens). TP is my gamer this year.
