What's you favorite finish for a putter? Why?

So what is your favorite finish for a putter? Do you prefer the look of a raw steel putter? Perhaps you like the gleam of a bright chrome stick, or the shine of stainless steel.

I'm interested to know what you favorite finish is, and why?

I myself LOVE soft carbon putters. Consequently, I'm a huge fan of the oil can finish, especially those on older Scotty Camerons. I love the look of the classic SC Newport 2 with an oil can finish.

So tell me your favorite, and provide pictures if you can:)

Thats my baby. She's got some patina on her now and if I think of it later I'll try to get a new picture up. If only I could be as happy with all my clubs as I am with my putter....I'd never ho again!

I don't know how they do it, but this is my putter, and I love the finish. It' called Black oxide.

I'm a sucker for the carbon steel putters that you can torch and bring out some browns, purples, and whatever else. This is my baby, an old TP Mills VIII with a new chunk of walnut on the back.

Bead blasted stainless steel is tops. A good orangish brownish patina on a copper head is a close second.

I'll add another to mine.

Even though I don't like to have to maintain raw carbon finishes, BOS's Patina Oil is amazing.
