Trust me JC these are way way way more forgiving. Yes the top line is wider and doesn't look as good. It is funny how quickly you forget that when you keep hitting shots including misses on the green. It is funny how that works. This club is stupid easy to hit. I guarantee you if some TM players got this stick in their hands, they would be reviewing their buyout clause with TM by the end of the day  :(

Are you switching from the x-14's?

You wont be disappointed. They are extremely forgiving, as well as feel wonderful at impact. I have been able to control shots with ease.

It will be interesting to see if these heads have the same buzz with me after a full season.

Yes I played three rounds with a friends set and it is incredible how good of an iron they are. I couldn't believe how accurate they are even when I miss hit them, its nuts!!! I hate to say good bye to my 300s! :( :beach: :rtfm:

I am a 300 fan. A am OK so far. I havent even picked up the set and looked at them since the x-tours hit the door. Something seems right. The confidence and looks are comfortable.

I hate to blow to much smoke untill I hit over the honeymoon. I used to blow a lot of smoke in the first couple of weeks and months to find out that it was the Ho in me justifying the clubs.

That being said I think that Callaway has hit it with this design. Forgiving players clubs.

I keep hearing this about these clubs but I gotta tell ya, after playing numerous sets of 300's and 300 Tours, I just put a set of 300 Lehman Box Toes in the bag TODAY and they will NEVER be replaced. They are simply the finest I have ever seen or felt and that includes several Miura sets of Tour 300's before. These are the boooooomb.

I had been playing with 300NS until my XTours finally arrived today. It took me about 10-12 holes before I got used to those XTours and did hit some nice shots after that point. I really did hit some ugly shots until that point.

those 2 sets are completely different from each other and it's the reason that I'm still not used to the XTours yet.

I did notice that my XTours w/TF Rifle 6.5 goes higher with more ballspin but it's too early to tell for sure.

What did you think about the bounce. I have been thinking off trying a set but they look like they have a ton down below.

I'm a confirmed satin 300 box toe guy, but hit my new X tours today. Wow. Silly easy to hit. Mistakes much better. That said, not the same gratification when flushed. Know that sounds weird, but I'm going to have to spend more time with the X's to develop some sense of how they're supposed to feel. Right now, can't say as tho I feel anything with them--they're that soft and forgiving. Will report back.

I already sold mine after 2 rounds.

When flushed just did not feel solid as my 29's do. They are forgiving but just cant hit shots with them.

Dont get me wrong they are a great set of irons just still clunky for me.

The X-Tours Will be good for alot of people but if your a TM 300 fan you will probably be back.

On another note I played with my freinds 300 ns yesterday and WOW they are good. Control, feel and plenty easy to hit.

The bounce is one thing that I'm not too crazy about XTours. When I played couple days ago, the fairways was in firm condition and I clanked couple of shots that I know I wouldn't have with my 300NS because I didn't swing very well that day.

I'm going to give it 2-3 more rounds before deciding what to do with them. 300NS seems easier to carve the ball out of thick rough, my home course has some thick rough about 3-4" already in many places.

I have seen some of the super Ho's reporting back that these heads are "okay". That was what I heard. Now BR61 who is a "player" says maybe the same thing. Mind you he shot a 62 (could of been a 64 I forgot) last week, so you know he knows his stuff.

All these reports have been difficult to hear. Why? Because I bought them and am planning on playing them this year, and was hoping that the reviews would continue to be great.

Coming off of TM 300 lehmans they are a dramatic change in every way and I am still getting used to that. At the same time I cant shoot a 62 and I am not parking the ball on the sweet spot everytime like many others are. A more forgiving cavity was the main reason for the switch.

Even though I tend to be overly influenced by the captains. There seems to be a time for that, and a time to stick to my guns and play what I think is best for me.

I have experienced a good start with my X-tours. While they certainly don't have the same glamour the satin Lehmans have they are much more forgiving and the confidence I have experienced is much improved.

I need to score this year. I don't want to see the 80's any more. I will play the toasters and love it for now.

I finally got to set up a set today and that were much smaller than I thought.  The dual cut topline really hides the thickness well and they are quits shorter heel to toe than I pictured.  I was sold instantly....

I am feeling the same right now. Straight, feels great and getting more and more used to the looks.

Having an easy time controlling the shots. No crazy flyers, and distance control is great. I used to play the x-12's and cant say the same about them. Every once in a while I would nut the ball and it would magically pick up a half of a club in distance.

The x-tours have a sweet looking compact "short and stubby" look to them.

Been lurking here for a while but haven't posted.  I've got my eyes on these clubs as well and putting the 731PMs in backup mode.  Hoping for more forgiveness on the too-often-for-my-liking mishit.

I've just gotten my X-tours 2 weeks ago and have stored my 731PM's in my closet. If you're looking for more forgiveness on mishits, then these are your irons. Only problem with these irons are that you cannot work/shape your shots as much as the PM's and sometimes the club gets stuck in rough due to the wider sole. Personally, I may have my clubmaker grind the sole a bit to make it thinner and reduce the bounce to alleviate this problem. Overall, I'm am very pleased with my X-Tours and as with anything else.....YMMV. :idhitit:
