Golfkicks add-on spikes.

Anyone else seen these? Just came across then on Instagram. Great idea but remains to be seen how they hold up.

Good concept--- On the mechanical side of things it would depend entirely on the hardness of the sole of the shoe to begin with as to how solid the spikes would anchor. They may be all right with a harder sole and a average weight person. I can see them twisting and distorting with a big guy like me at 300 lbs.

Good idea, especially the ability to personalize your golf fashion, but I see no idea how those will remotely last without destroying the soles of the shoes or as my friend above pointed out.

Also, really looking forward to the round where the insoles are worn out and the sharp end goes through the shoe on your first drive.

Cool idea. Pricing seems a little high. I wonder if these will work on nike free soles.

Just had a buddy try these. He said they didn't feel "right," a couple fell out, and they just weren't comfortable. He installed these in Jordan 3s.

These are appearing all over my Instagram advertising now (no surprise) and I'm pretty disappointed to hear what DKingsmore's buddy had to say. Hopefully we can get more reviews because the concept is brilliant..

I Kickstarted them and have been using mine for over a year now. Better if you're in a cart, they add a few weird pressure points and make my feet sore when I walk & carry 18 holes.

Great info. I am one of those who likes to walk and carry so this is interesting news. I wonder how much the shoe's own cushioning can affect pressure points.

Have any of your fallen out?I imagine the twisting effect of each swing could result in the spike coming loose.

If you’re sold on the concept, when you install them, use some ShoeGoo or E6000 on the threads then wait a day for it to “harden”. Those won’t be pulling out any time soon. Plus, if you don’t like them, you can still take them out with some effort.

Ok so played 18 with a cart today in my 3s. Here is what they look post round. No issues with spikes moving or anything.

For this pair I didn’t use any shoe goo or anything just Pilot holes and screwed them in.

The shoes themselves felt really solid. I couldn’t feel the spikes protruding through at all.

When you first walk on them , they don’t feel terribly stable. Probably because of the spike orientation , I think for these I would use a few more to balance them out. But that is easier said than done as the soles of these have different types of rubber and peaks and valleys so getting the spikes in certain places is harder than others. You also need to be careful not to drill into the air pocket When making a pilot hole. 6mm is all you need for the Pilot Hole and you should use a hand tool not a powered screwdriver.

The spikes themselves arent the best but did provide enough stability for my round on dry grass. I had zero issues with traction or balance on any shot.

I don’t think Jordan 3s are the best shoe to use due to the layout of the sole. Stan smiths might be what I try next as the bottom is even across the shoe.
