Petoskey Area - Best Value

I'm going to be staying in the Petoskey Area and I'll have some time to get some golf in. I've got a pretty strict budget of $180 and I'd like to play 3 rounds of golf. What are my best options? I'd like to keep travel to about 60-75mins max from Petoskey. Thanks.

One place to look in to is Little Traverse Bay Golf Club - Fall rates look to be $65, with twilight being $45. Really fun course with great views of the bay.

It would also be worth taking a look at Belvedere Golf Club in Charlevoix, from what I remember it doesn't really break the bank and I'm pretty certain their rates adjust post-labor day.

Both courses are 15-30ish minutes away from downtown Petoskey.

I completely forgot about LTB... one of my favorites in the area and an outstanding value. That is def going to the top of my list. Belvedere has a good reputation (I've never played it) but at $72 I'm not sure it would fit into the budget depending on the other courses.

I think you have to play the following

1. Black Lake- onaway Michigan- cut right into the woods and a true gem

2. Bay Harbor - Links / Quarry twighlight - costs $110 but worth it.

If it were me I’d just play two rounds and you will be at $180. The two courses are amazing.

The other courses to consider are Little Traverse Bay (go there for dinner) and the Boyne Art Hills

I won't be playing alone. Im pretty sure Im gonna play LTB ($65) and Blake Lake ($60) so I'm left with about $55 to play with for that third round. We'll be up there for 3 days so I wanna get out for 3 rounds.

Hidden River and Boyne Highlands (Heather or Arthur Hills) should be in your price/drive time range, with Fall rates.

Hidden River is a great value. You can find tee times for good deals at Boyne on TeeOff.com especially if you use a promo code. I played the Alpine over 4th of July for $45.

Charlevoix muni (9 holes). Fun, play it twice. $17 for 9

Glad to see I am not the only one who likes Charlevoix muni!

Charlevoix mini, that's where I learned to play as a kid. $15 for a season pass for a student back in the 1970s. Used to ride my bike to the course every day in the summer.
