Short golf swing - finau, Morten madson

Just wanted to see if anyone has been able to really shorten their golf swing. I have a short golf swing already, but at the transition my elbow bends like a hinge to create lag.

Just wanted to see what has worked for people.

I use the swing extender, but my arm still folds at the transition.

Guys like Finau and Rahm found that a short and quick motion works best for them.

^^^^^When they started, that was their natural swing. When Phil started, that long, long swing was natural.

I thought your name was familiar...your old videos you posted stuck with me since youre a lefty, like me, and had posted your videos with Dan. If your swing is still like your "after" swings with Dan, what is the issue? Thats a good looking move and the elbow bend is nothing like your before swings. Is it a true problem or just aesthetics? Dont be afraid of a little soft elbow. In your after swings, that is not what I would consider short at all.

Truthfully it is probably more aesthetic than an issue. Just whenever I have a bad round I try to get back to having a shorter backswing.

Dan always told me to turn more. With no ball I can turn for days and straight arms, but when it is real swing completely different.

So do you think you just have to much focus on the ball and it restricts your turn? Obviously, since youve seen Dan, you probably have a good idea of what you need, but Ill offer a few things. I too, have suffered from being ball bound and unable to turn. The two things that really freed me up is Bobby Lopez's 2 oclock drill(11 oclock for us lefties) and the flamingo drill. It really got me feeling just how much I needed to have the feeling off "tailbone points to target" with my hip turn.
