scotty cameron 2.6 help

I dont know whats wrong

Hey all, I have a scotty cameron 2.6 which is straight shafted and a laguna 2.5 studio stainless. For some reason I have a much harder time hitting the putt pure with the 2.6 and it has that hard feeling, extremely annoying. Is it just the offset difference or something else. And no I dont have a arced stroke much more straight back and straight through with barely none if any arc. Can somebody please help me out. Thanks!

This is just my take from what I experienced with the one centershaft I used. I had a newport 2 midslant converted to a centershaft and it felt extremely hard as well and if I had to guess I would say it has a lot to do with the shaft being directly in line with the sweetspot, thus transmitting much more feel on impact.

The 2.6 has a high amount of toe hang so it probably doesn't fit a SBST stroke very well. That could be the problem. It appears to be centershafted but it really isn't and is nowhere near face balanced.

I have the 2.6 and found that the sweetspot is closer to me than I think it should be (visually). I have been through a lot of putters, but the 2.6 is my first milled putter, so I cannot compare it very well.

Exactly right. The toe hangs nearly straight down with this putter as opposed to some people's thoughts that it is face balanced

Buy Pat O'Brien's putting dvd and you will be just fine. Sorry to hear that you purchased a 2.6, you should have purchased a SeeMore M1. You would get service after the sale (i.e. they would help you with your putting stroke if you were having issues). Good luck getting help from Fat Scotty.
