Taylor R9 TP "B" Stamp...

Most people seem to like 'em pretty well. I've heard others moving on to more forgiving pastures, and others say they are plenty forgiving. I think they look sweet as hell, but I wouldn't game them over what I have now.

Tell me what you have....

Titleist Combo set. 710 CB 3-5 iron, 710 MB 6-PW.

I almost grabbed a set of the R9 B's.. even the C's... but went with the Titleist. I think they look better and feel good.

The B's are very soft, really nice feel on them though.

I have a set in the bag right now and they are fantastic! I'm a big fan of minimal/zero offset and these fit the bill, I don't find them difficult to game one bit as well. Some will argue that they are cast, I have owned many many highend forgings and these feel every bit as soft. Overall a wonderful set of players sticks, very consistant and hold up extremely well...BB

Does anyone know if the "c" versions available in LH , and where can they be found?

Hit a set the past two days. I am a long time blade player. These are absolutely more forgiving than any blade I have ever owned. If they are not enough for you, then you are not coming from blades. They are also the bizarre straight...must be the low offset. It's almost freaking how straight I hit these. My buddy who hit them yesterday is selling both his extra sets to get some...just to further dive in and see them in more detail.

Offset sucks.

Just got a set a month ago replacing a set of R7 TP (PX shafts) and went with the stock KBS tour stiff shafts and am very happy with them so far. The ball flighs super distance and face is a soft as butter. You won't be disappointed.....good luck.

do these r9 "b" irons have conforming grooves?

+1 on "as soft as any other forging"

I have a set of the c's and I have to agree with one exception possibly... the Cally X proto's seemed to be even softer to me.. almost a muted type of feel. I don't think I'd get along well with the no offset, but the c's seem to be a perfect fit. The Nippon SPB's certainly don't hurt.

most of the taylormade staffers seem to like them considering they still play them over the new line of irons that came out.

They are all over Ebay. There was a retail "B" version and a TXXXXX version. I have a set of each now and cannot tell any difference. Great urons.

I bought my set in Canada at retail (limited stock) and each clubs is individually serialized with TXXXXXXX. I ended up buying at retail new for less than new set on the Bay and no fear of clones.

No LH confirmed? Are the c's avail in LH and how do they differ from the b's and the regular retail version ?

i have 2 sets of high end irons.. these and mizuno mp -63's. my comparison of the 2 are the b's are alsmost as soft as the mizzy's, but they are so STRAIGHT!!! i don't know why the mp63's tend to draw way more than the b's.. because the offset in the mizzy's are still pretty low.. i was really hoping to be able to game 2 sets of irons, but the more i play the b's, thay will stay in the bag!! i don't know what i'm gonna do with my mizzy's.. geez,, i custome ordered them with 2 mpt-11 wedges..they look so good and they all have the same seriel number, but i don't like how the ball flight is compared to the b's..

The different TXXXXX serial number isn't an issue as they are weight and appearance sorted. They're great irons, I'm selling one of my sets in BST (shameless)!

i have a combo set of r9 tp tours and r9 bs - great set of irons. replacing 300 tour lehman grinds (or at least giving them a rest).

I just got a set replacing rac tp mb's (very nice irons). I've really enjoyed them to this point, and like the switch to KBS tour X's. Overall a very solid feeling iron that feels good, flights well, and flat out looks great at address.

One question I have is on the serial numbers. Mine also have a different TXXXXX serial number on each iron. Why would they do that?

Isit a case of having different TXXXXx serials still means they are weight and matched throughout the set?!? I have a set of r9 tp B heads no stamp and the serial are all different

What are the offset specs of these?
