Can you still edit posts?

Noticed that feature is no longer available, at least on mobile. This concerns me as I will have to dramatically scale back my drunk posting

On an iPhone, in portrait you don’t see the edit button, but I see it in landscape.

But, I just checked and I am able to edit on my iPhone and my Windows 10 Professional work desktop.

I can edit posts if they are the opening post in a thread I started.

 

All other posts...like this one I am making right now , I will not be able to modify once I hit post.

Currently impossible. I stay out of many threads because I know they will never end and become a circle jerk.

It's a joke that we can not delete one of our own posts. Especially since we were able to do it with the previous software. Being able to delete ones own post is SOP with on-line forum software. Except it seems with this Vanilla software..

Can we flag it and ask for deletion? There must be a way or, hypothetically, someone could post racist, violent, pornographic, etc content and it would stay forever. If the moderators can delete then the user should be able to do so from a software standpoint.

I'm not as worried about deleting posts, it's more when I make spelling mistakes or forget words or something. The edit post function was nice. Especially on mobile you get a lot of weird autocorrects

There is no time limit for editing. The gear currently appears If you turn your device landscape. It is on the punch list to fix on mobile.

There is no timestamp of posts in mobile either so I have no idea if I’m responding to a post in 2016 or yesterday. Also, I use an iPhone 7 Plus and there is no edit button in landscape mode either, can only see in desktop. Hope this helps

Testing editing on mobile....last week I couldn’t edit but today it worked.

 

The lack of time stamps on mobile is annoying.
