A bit of love for JPX 900 Tours

I just felt like throwing this out here. I order a set of 900 tours, 3-p, amt tour white shafts, during summer 2019, almost as an afterthought. They were on deep discount already and the website I ordered from allowed a 20% discount to be applied.

they started out as a backup set to a set of p760’s, but every time I player the 900’s, I hit them very pure. After about 6 rounds, I had some midsize grips thrown on and had them bent 3.5* flat. Soon after, I found them replacing the 760’s as my primary club, and played almost every round with them for the last 3-4 months of the year. They feel perfectly firm and solid to me. A beautiful blade to look down on but a bit of forgiveness as well. I would guess I put 35 rounds on them as well as practice time, no head covers, and they still look phenomenal. They just don’t pick up any bag chatter at all.

I’ve picked up a few other iron sets in the interim, 785’s (haven’t hit yet) 585/u85 combo (too big), mmc/hmb combo , j15 mb’s (shafts 1/4 inch too short), v6’s, and have gotten the 760’s dialed in with proper shafts, and I grabbed some Rose Proto heads which might pair nice with some C-taper still+, which is my greatest hope of dethroning the 900’s, but I don’t know if anything will beat out the 900’s.

In the end, I’m not trying to prove anything or convince anyone, just throwing out some love for these thin soled beauties. For me, a truly great club.

I’m having the same experience with my 919t set ... and am debating getting your irons with the same shafts

a little oversized and satin seem to be ideal

919t seemingly have killed off the brand new 790’s, blueprints, and dare I say s55’s ?

I have never been as excited about a set of irons as the 900T, did immediate pre-order with T7’s. They finally made a good looking 9-P, was in love upon arrival. Unfortunately, at the time, wrong shaft and a bit much for me, sold to a member on here(still has em). I went 900F, and shot the 3 best scores of my life with them-modus 125.

That set is now at my folks place in California, have a stock, and custom set of 919T now, and they are everything I have ever wanted in an iron. I am a better player now, but the 919 is a little more forgiving.

2 fantastic sets of sticks, and nicely priced.
