Powerbilt Citation Forged Irons- need help

I have a seller of Powerbilt Citation Forged irons. I am trying to identify when these were made.

I know that Powerbilt was revised in the early 2000s but cant seem to find any info on these.

Those appear differently than any I have ever seen--- What really caught my eye was the butter knife 10 iron or PW as we call them. Every Power Bilt 10 Iron I have ever seen had a thick sole. One of the reasons I did not use the 10 iron with my beloved set of 66 Horse Shoe Citations.

Edit: Upon further thought and looking again I ponder if maybe yours were straight from the custom department and were special order grinds. The reason I say that is because those have a combination muscle between the 66 Horse Shoes and the Scotch Blades but the sole grinds are not like either one. But anyhow they are nice looking sticks for sure

I'm no expert on PowerBilt irons, but I have been looking at quite a few sets over the past few months as I'd like to get a set myself, and I can say that I have never seen a set with a blank muscle pad like that. So my first thought was like Big_Stu's: some sort of custom model? Prototypes

Ssome years ago, I had a set of Citation irons Bobby Nichols had played on tour in the late-1960s.  They were very similar to these, but had "BN" on the top of he toe, where yours had "forged".  Once I got them to suit me (Bobby was a couple inches taller than me), I loved them.  They were 1.5 degrees upright and about two degrees strong.  Great feel.  I gave them to an aspiring junior golfer whom they fit;  I'd just gotten my first set of 1980 Hogan Directors.  Still have the Directors, and I've gotten a couple other sets of them.  Simple and beautiful.
