Best Face Masks For Heat and Golf

Need help guys on getting a breathable cooling face shield for Covid. I work all day on the golf course fitting in South Florida Humidity.

I have one from columbia that I like a lot. Very thin material that doesnt get warm at all. Im sure thicker more robust fabrics will protect from germs better, but that just gets uncomfortable.

I think you’d be better off going away from a mask and going with a buff type thing that you can pull up over your nose and mouth. Any traditional mask isn’t going to be breathable at all and in the south Florida heat, outside all day would be a nightmare.

You realize breathable and legit protective mask don’t go together, right? The masks they actually work your breath will not go through the mask. These cloth ones provide little to no protection

The point of non-surgical masks isn't to protect you, it's to protect those around around you. The point of them is so you can't project the virus if your asymptomatic. By everyone wearing them it's less likely to be transmitted.

Lol, I know. When I say protection, I’m saying for other people and yourself. These cloth ones provide little protection to others, the virus is microscopic that can float in air, cotton weave is like a wide open door for it.

The cloth ones provide plenty of protection for others. That is why the CDC recommends them. While the virus can move through it makes it harder for the virus to move any distance. They provide a little it’s better than nothing. Put on a cloth mask see if you can blow out the flame of a lighter and get back to me. It’s pretty simple really, people just don’t use their own heads.

I would love to see some other options. I’m guessing people have researched this. The masks I got on Amazon are so uncomfortable on the golf course.

This is the smart rule. If we know the alternative to not being safe are the risks that been displayed, why even test it? What do you get out of it. Use a buff or a face shield as linked above that's your best bet. As a So Fla golfer, I appreciate what're you doing.
