Are the amt tour white weight sorted to the tour issue tolerances of the previous AMT Tour issue before they were changed to tour white (without the word “issue”)

No, they seems be belong to the Gold sorting standard,...True Temper really wants to make this complicated, for AMT White, the "TOUR" name seems to be a reference to "Tour weight" , not weight sorting.

@Howard_Jones the chart you showed with all of the options on the first page is really interesting. This is in the same vein of my wanting to find a little more weight than my modus 120s.
I previously had amt s400 ss1x in a set of mp15s. Loved the feel from 7-pw, especially the weight. Just worked with my swing and transition really well. Where I started to see issues was around the 5-6 iron. Getting too much spin with a weak ball flight. I would love to dig into this concept more and find a way to split the difference. The idea of ascending weight intrigues me for sure. Because I love the heavier weight in higher lofted clubs, 130 gr just becomes a little heavy for me around 6i.

If you do your own club making and have a good idea about what you really want, you can build just about anything.

A option i did not mentioned was tip trim of tapers. Many thinks that cant be done but it can, and most hosels has no issues with shafts tipped 3/8" who is very close to "1 shaft stronger" or hard stepped once, so if the long end became a tad loose, you can tip trim them before install if the weight is good as it is. If you think both weight and flex is a issue, you can hard step the long end, that moves them about 4.5 grams up pr shaft, ive used 5 grams in my charts to avoid decimals only.

Many of those who does their own club making also build custom set ups like 3/8" and what we call "poor mans MOI match". That gives long irons that are easier to play in general due to a shorter length progression between clubs and shorter long irons. IF that could be something to consider and you DONT want the large weight drop of 3 grams pr iron, but still want Ascending weight, you can build it yourself based on either X100, or a mix of S400 - S300 and S200 shaft who makes them both Ascending weight with about 1 grams from shaft to shaft instead of 3, and they also become "flighted" with a little help for extra launch in the long end. To make a set like that it demands some weight sorting and tip trim of some of the shafts....

The X100 set up looks like this. its based on a STANDARD length #8 iron, then 3/8" between clubs both ways, and average flex DG X100 Soft stepped once.

Comparable weight as uncut goes from a #3 iron of about 124 to a PW of 131

image.pngIf S flex range is better, we can make the Ascending wgt slope about 10 grams, with a #3 iron of 121 grams...(No #8 and #4 iron shaft here either, but a #1 and <#2 added to 3-PW)

The issue will always be to get the needed shafts at the uncut weight we want, so you need a seller with a huge inventory who bothers to find what you seek to make this like described here, but if you know such a dealer, you can build AMT sets like this yourself, and to a lower price than AMT White, and get your own personal weight slope and flight pattern.

Adding AMT White stepping options for easier compare

Thank you @Howard_Jones Your knowledge is priceless. Really appreciate the time and effort put into sharing it.
I'm not a club builder nor tinker, but I really want to dive into these options a little.
