J. Lindeberg spring 2007

Is anyone else really disappointed with the spring/summer 2007 J. Lindeberg collection. What happened to all the outrageous and crazy colors? It is so much more just blah now? anyone else thnik so too?

I tried to view the '07 collection on the JL store but it is not working...where can you see the new stuff?

The spring/summer collection has really toned down. Pastel colours and black/white/navy, its a strange move for a company that once made fuschia trousers!!

 

I've seen the autumn/winter 2007 collection and its nothing much different from the spring/summer, no pinks, yellows or oranges!!

I don't like it as much. They still have some really good clothes and some good looking stuff at that just not exactly what we have come to expect from JL.

Black is the new fuschia. I actually like more muted colors. Bright, loud colors were fun 4 and 5 years ago, but what made them unique and different in the first place make them common now. To me at least, cut and construction are more important than colors.

I've read that JL was toning down on the bright colors because every other brand was doing the same thing. If the cut doesn't change I don't really mind. I prefer better cut but "dull" colors over bright colors but a sloppy baggy fit anyday.

I agree the cut is probably what makes JL so great and I don't mind the new muted colors I do like them but I do miss the old loud colors.

Lat me guess, your idea of golf fashion is the 10 pair of khaki pants you have and your lucky navy blue polo that you wear EVERY time that you play. ;)

By the way it was just a joke. . For goodness sakes it is a clothing line. I do not think that it is that important. OOOh and by the way a gentlemen by the name of Boo Weekly (you may know who he is) use to wear rain pants and tennis shoes. So, long story short I do not think people remember what you are wearing or put much thought in what brand you have on as long as you have game. Just my two cents.

That's pretty much the reason why...especially after seeing the bright colours of the new Nike line.

 

JL stuff doesn't even come up on my radar anyway, seeing as though it's geared towards the wafer thin crowd.

maybe if nike had those bright colours in a cut that isn't VERY wide and too generously cut, but it does nothing for me when a medium fits me like an xl.

Well as a guy who is 6'2" 230lbs with 27" thighs the Lindeberg stuff isn't cut for us all. I had to quit doing squats at the gym, even relaxed fit jeans are a tight fit. I apprietiate well cut clothing though even if it doesn't fit me, and the Lindeberg line is very nice.

I realize its not for everybody. But why does every bloody mainstream company have to have shirts cut for seemingly John Daly players, especially companies like Adidas whose cut for players like Justin Rose would sell in retail because its cheaper and is a similar cut to JL. But the retail Adidas is huge. I'm not saying every shirt should be cut like JL, but do we have to pay an arm and a leg for something to have a flattering fit to it?
