Pigs,

given how low you launch your driver I'd be interested to see the ball-flight on an 11* mini. I'd predict that you'd see low bullets all day long. T may be correct, 13 - 14* may be in your wheelhouse.

Not that I'm encouraging you (or your wife ; ) to purchase anything.

Merry Christmas.

PS . . . my boys are sleeping soundly. We put out cookies and milk for Santa, sprinkled oats and glitter on the front lawn for the reindeer and left fresh carrots on the front porch. The Big Guy should know where to land. My son is concerned that he's going to burn to death in our gas fireplace (as he'll never be able to fit) so I've assured him that Santa has a special key. What a way to go to bed, thinking a stranger is going to enter your front door bearing gifts as you are sleeping.
Yep, kids are sleeping here as well, we don't have oats outside but we have carrotts and cookies and milk ready for me to eat after my beer is done, lol, we're sitting outside waiting for them to be *really* asleep so we can start the santa thing, my daughter was too excited, I am going to give them about 2 more beer before we start thinking about moving presents out.
You guys telling your stories of laying out cookies and milk for Santa is making me reminisce of sweeter days when my kids were young. They are now older and married. Still waiting for grandkids!! You guys enjoy and treasure these years. They are precious. Truly. Merry Christmas to all of you. God bless.
It all comes back when the grandkids are born, get to relive it again! So, I am told anyway. Merry Christmas to you as well.

Let's hope Santa is delivering gifts this evening with a clear head otherwise he'll never finish the task on time. He'll be pleasantly surprised either way by the big plate of cookies my son has left out for him.

Wooleeboolee,

I'm so excited to see my son's face when he wakes up tomorrow morning. This morning I was greeted with a kiss in bed and a child yelling "it's Christmas Eve Daddy and I'm so excited". The great thing, I've got a 7 month old who's celebrating his first Christmas, and I get to experience this excitement all over again for a few years (if all goes according to plan). Merry Christmas to you and yours.

PD, that is so beat to hear. Thanks for sharing with us. I always enjoy your posts about your family and taking them out on the course to look for critters and other marvels of nature. They are lucky to have you, and I know you feel the same about having them. The grandkids for me will arrive in their own time. By then, I'll retire from work and consult to pay for golf and travel. And spoil the grandkids. Hope Santa brings you something special tonight!!

Out here in SoCal, young kids don't want cookies. They all want the latest iPad or iPhone, and then want an unlimited account on iTunes. Sheesh. Enjoy your day tomorrow! Merry Christmas to all who are still up waiting for the kids to go to sleep so you can drag the presents from the hiding places. Fun times.

As you've stated it is us who are blessed. My Mother was over this evening for the annual Christmas Eve feast (Chinese food this year : ). It is something special to see her with my children. She constantly reminds me that it takes her back to when I was a child.

In due time my friend. Then you get to spoil them and send them home. : )

They're like that here too, nobody plays outside anymore. Remember when we were kids; wake up grab a quick breakfast and we were gone until lunch, eat quick, and gone again until well past dinner, get in trouble for missing dinner and then go back out until late at night just doing whatever you can outside.. crazy! You can't get a kid outside for longer than 30 mins anymore, drives me nuts.

Yeah, I had a Schwinn Stingray that I rode everywhere and played touch football or shot hoops with neighborhood kids until it was dinner time. Then I'd get on the bike again and ride around the neighborhood and talk to any of the "old people" out watering their gardens or walking their dogs. I learned a lot from those adults then and they helped to shape my perspectives about school, careers, and being a good person. Not sure I could have learned as much from a Game Boy.

TYVM :)

Yes sir, I'm a lucky fellow when it comes to aces. The first one was years ago on a course that is now closed. I'm not completely positive that this ball is the first ball. But it could be, so I've decided to dub it the "first ball" and be done with searching for it lol. I dug out the scorecard this morning from the first one and wrote the info on the ball. So at this point as far as this Piggy is concerned, that IS my first HIO ball lol

A very good start to the day. The reindeer cleaned up the carrots outside and Santa left a few crumbs on the cookie tray before placing a bunch of gifts under the tree. The Peanut's were excited to open presents and are now having a bit of down time before we take a trip to the in-laws for dinner. This entire week is exhausting for all of us.

Daddy was a the big winner as he scored a shaft puller, cedar shoe trees and two dozen golf balls. Not that he paid for them himself a week ago ; )

Finally, Christmas is here and my 3 year old is STILL opening gifts... she got 4 in and said she wasn't going to open more because "I'm happy."

As for me got some Dr Who boxers (Weeping Angels), a couple t-shirts, a couple DVD/Blu-Rays, and got to open the golfing gifts. I officially have a new Srixon golf bag, the Callaway socks (wouldn't be Christmas without socks!), and a dozen TM Tour Preferred-X balls from the father-in-law. I sent him a list of 6 different suggestions and suggested the B-Stone B330 as they were last years model for $26 vs full price TM/Cally/etc. but here we are.

Hope everyone else got some great Christmas gifts that are related to both fun and family! :)

Pigems is back in action :D

I tried negotiating with the family for a new set of I25s. Boxer shorts, a new jacket and some new pajamas mean I was overruled. :D Still got a new pair of very nice golf shoes and a nice gift certificate to GG. I'll take some heads I have and try some new shafts. I've got no reason to complain. :D

TD, yes, tomorrow is another day! Heck, every pro on tour has good and bad days. Otherwise, this game would be a cinch!! And we'd all stick with the same set of clubs, same balls, same tees, and same shoes if it was so dam easy. My game is dependent on so many variables that a sports psychologist and Monte could make a fortune trying to straighten my game out. My game is so fickle, that if I have just a little too much bacon in my breakfast burrito before the round, I may end up in the trees sniffing for truffles and looking for my ball at the same time. Shake off the bad shots and focus on the good ones!! And remember to have fun!!

I like that last sentence TD. The older I get the more I realize the
irony (pun intended) of getting mad on a golf course. I just can't
get mad any more. The are many many worse places to be, lol.
