True... there's a shop that has been closed for a few years now that did regripping with rubber cement. Seemed to work very well. I'm not sure if anyone else does it or if it's even advisable given the weight, but it seemed to last well beyond the point where regripping was necessary. I wouldn't take my word on that but ask around before trying it, of course.

I just use an air compressor now, that way I can change/adjust grips easily whenever I want to

Probably not a bad idea just to protect the face a tad if working on a particular club on repeated shots with grotty range balls. Was the an eBay find? Can't see it on GT under a search function.

Though I did peruse the clubmaking supplies section and sure a lot more than I've ever seen before (not that I'm a do-it-yourselfer). I had to look up what "hosel protectors" are - for protecting shafts on pulls I found out. Whew-not for protecting hosel damage on shanks. I envisioned a thread on GolfWRx defending both the use of shank hosel protectors and iron headcovers. Shudder.

Snagged the at the local (little) golf shop by my place. Golf Central, $10 for 30 stickers, they had the same ones on eBay last night formless money but I didn't want to wait lol

When I got home from work I opened up this little kit that the stickers came in and it's pretty cool actually, I don't know if their advice is any good or not but at least they try. Not bad for $10 and the stickers even work lol. Remember I'm a lefty so you have to reverse the numbers on their advice

Not hard to tell I was starting to get warmed up by the time I got to my 8 iron (in the back), I can't wait to try these out at the sim range on my woods. It makes me want to hit balls just to see the tape, I can see me needing many more packs of these lol

So when is "The Wager" over and when can another start? I am in desperate need of a competition to stop myself from acquiring new equipment. I cannot do it on my own. I have Bridgestone clubs on order(Irons and a driver) but want to stop myself mainly from buying new 3 woods, but I figure a full bag stoppage can't hurt either.

IM OUT!!! Darn it!! I had a moment of weakness today. I found myself in the golf store today with money in my pocket and found a near mint demo 56* c grind Vokey SM4 for $60 and I buckled under the pressure and caved. Had it bent to 60* so I can try it with my classic titleist wedges. Sorry boys I did my best, I can't believe I made it this long honestly lol. Good luck to the remaining 3, PD, G64 and Nuggets

As for the impact tape . . .

Every once and a while I'll have a range session where I begin to move closer and closer to the heel. It's an awful feeling to see the impact marks moving closer to the hosel, and to be powerless to stop the inevitable shanks that are to follow.

The most expensive club in my bag is only $100 so I knew it wouldn't be anything big for me, I never make big purchases really. The Bargain bins/demo racks are my weakness, I'm drawn right to them the minute I walk in the store. I had only gone in to get more impact stickers, next thing you know I'm chatting with one of the guys about bending Vokeys. Gosh Darn It!!!
