For those that are custom ordering a mixed set of Pro/ProCombo are you strengthening the Pro's loft or weakening the PC? I'm putting in an order now and based on what I'm currently playing I think I'm going to weaken the PC's by 1* to match my current set.

I weakened mine. 4 - 24*, 5 - 27*, 6 - 31*.

Yeah same reasons here, I've been running those lofts for a while. Without seeing them I was concerned the +1* might effect the PC's beyond what I assume.

So finally got to see the VPC and Speed in person (local GS didn't stock the Pro). Speed looks HUGE next to the VPC and VPC looks very much like the "players' iron" it's intended to be - thinnish top line, negligible offset. Had never hit the DG Pro shaft before, so new experience there too. Unfortunately they taped the head, but hit the 6 next to the MP64, MP15 and the RS2.

Taylormade for me felt exactly like the RBZ Tour I have currently. Face was hot, but nothing earth shattering - didn't really care either as I came for the Nike.

Disappointed by the tape, as I'm not sure how much the feel is eroded (never hit a taped iron before today). Hit about 20 balls with each, alternating as I warmed up (40* here in CT today so was happy to be indoors).

The MP15 and the VPC felt very similar, though I get the comments about the MP15 being "clicky". Not sure how much the tape hurt, but neither club could hold a candle to the MP64. Interestingly, even taped I would have gone VPC over MP15 as the VPC felt solid at impact - not the cushy feel of the MP64, but more of a hammer driving a nail.

I took very little away from the numbers given the tape. Not at all a fan of the DG Pro either - Nike should have stuck with the classic DG. I've played Rifle/PX since my first set, but very familiar with the stock DG S300 that I'm forced to hit every time I demo anything. I couldn't get used to the feeling of the DG Pro and tried not the let it distract from the way I perceived the club face of the Nike.

One thing I found distinct to the Nike was the fact that at first I repeatedly hit the ball towards the heel. My misses have been more toe-centric for my entire playing career and the misses I had today with the Mizunos were all toe-y as well (couldn't for the life of me tell you where I hit the RS2...maybe a testament to their mantra there). After 5 or 6 shots off the heel for the Nike I adjusted my setup slightly to compensate (I typically lineup with the ball off the heel to avoid my normal miss) and started catching the ball more out the middle of the face. I know I read somewhere that Nike moved weight around in the Vapor Pro - not sure if that was the same for the VPC but I definitely noticed a difference in my normal swing.

I'm going to reserve judgment for now as I'm hoping to find a set of Pros to give them a fair shake and see if this weighting change may actually be all it's cracked up to be (as much as I love the sight of lead tape currently). For now I'm leaning towards the MP64 for my Christmas list, but we shall see...

I love my Nike Vapor Pro blades, but I bought them off the rack and I need the +1/2" which I'm used to. They are superb in the feel dept. And the flight is impeccable.

I'm going to BST them and re-order from Nike +1/2"but all other specs the same.

With a move like that, I can't believe you don't have more than 13 feedback rating on here, LOL. Buying a set off the rack knowing it wasn't going to work is totally a WRX'r move. Well done friend, well done.

I play off the rack specs and once upon a time played standard length. But I'm 6'3" and really need the +1/2". My VR Pro blades were standard and I figured I'd go back to that length - it's been too long and I've become accustom to the added length so they are up on BST as we speak.

Hit the 5 iron off the Launch Monitor earlier and I think I got 2-3 yards more than my MMProto 5 iron.

Thin shots were helped by the RZN cavity. Will take side by side photos in a bit.
