Which JDM Driving Iron :

- Has a larger head (much like a Game Improvement iron)

- Launch higher than the other DI

- Stock shaft is NS Pro 950GH.

Only the Honma TW utility irons comes to mind. The previous Srixon AD utility irons would probably fit the bill too.

Since you mentioned about Srixon. Is Srixon a Japanese club maker? I know they are the parent company of cleveland golf.

[/quote] I would say they are primarily a JDM company. For a few years in a row, they have rolled out some of the best lines in Japan imo.

I'd still recommend the Epon Af901, lowest loft is 19 deg, so more of a 2 iron, but you can get it made with whatever shaft you want. Mine has the same C-taper shaft as the rest of my irons.

 

 

here's a view comparing offset to a Ping g2 HL - the Epon looks great in person, feels good and performs extremely well with all the benefit of a bendable hosel for proper lie fitting.

I did some search on the net. Found Srixon Z-TI 2013 model. I kinda like the look at address. Is this club any good?

[/quote] are you looking for a long iron replacement or a true driving iron? The club is more of a GI long iron than a driving iron. Overall performance is great .

More like a true driving iron but I still can use it off the turf. I want to replace my fairway wood.

I have checked all the specs. Fourteen HI-610 TS is the right one for me, higher ball flight, lighter shaft.

The problem is nobody sells it. I have checked ebay and tourspecgolf. If I order from Rakuten, they will backorder it for 4 weeks! Can anybody help me where I can find the Fourteen utility?

Royal Collection BBD VS UT tour is a hollow type driving iron that launches high. Has the Nippon 1130 as stock which is close. Not sure about the shaft in the newer models but you would assume they would be similar.

From left to right: Fourteen 660 HI V2, Mizuno MP Fli-Hi, & Bridgestone Airmuscle. They will all fit the bill as far as size and performance but as with all clubs you need the right shaft. All three above were reshafted to graphite for a specified ball flight for each of my players.

 

The Fourteen 610 HI TS is available through Joe Kwok and he's posted on that specific model on the boards, do a quick search for his review.

I read Joe's post. Type 7 doesn't available in 18 degree. Plus sounds like it doesn't launch the ball high. I'm good with the older Fourteen driving iron.

If you are looking for a high launch utility irons, you can take a look at the Honma I mentioned as well. I launched the 3 iron about 3 degrees higher than the regular TW717 3 iron when demoing them. Price wise the Fourteen and the Honma should be similar.

[/quote] it's a great club, I also have the 18 for shorter courses or windy conditions. I don't think this head is as high launching as you wish, but it is more forgiving than a normal long iron.

B-stone? Maybe not as GI, but I never read a bad review on them. coupled with the right shaft...who knows.

Previously I really wanted to get the Fourteen 610. But nobody sells it anymore. Even tourspecgolf.

i game the Honma TW 2u 18* and an Epon 903 20*
both are super easy to hit but prefer the Epon due to the higher launch.

just look for something you like the looks of and game it. its more about confidence than brand
