Its cool, I have read in a few places that the Flex 3wd is in fact .75" longer than the CT 2.0 3wd. That's quite a jump, I will probably order it and cut a little off, too long for me.

I can confirm the vapor speed fairways are 0.75" longer than the performance 2.0's. Quite the jump on Nike's part. I'm not a fan of the change but love the fairways so it's an easy fix.

Even thought the speed face is bigger I have a hard time hitting it off the deck compared to the 2.0.

Toe/heel hits are more forgiving in the speed, but I hit the 2.0 off the deck with ease, so for right now, I definitely don't need a new fairway wood.

How is the spin rate on the new vapor pro driver and 3 wood heads? The VR pro limited editions from a few years ago were low spinning heads but it seemed that the coverts we definitely a higher spinning head. I hope Nike went back to the lower spinning heads, if they did, these are a lock for my bag.

Ordered the pro w/ D+ 60 x. Hoping it will be here by next mon at the latest . Anyone try it in this setup? Cannot wait to rip it. Never actually owned a nike club, always been titleist/taylormade

It's not a bad strategy. I had a covert 1.0 performance (speed style head) with as low a spin shaft as I could I be which was a black ops shaft.

I was losing maybe 5 yards max but it was a fairway finder.

I just placed an order for the D+ 60 stiff to try against the S+ 60 stiff in my Vapor Pro, the S+ was a little whippy. I thought I would try the D+, hopefully my pitiful 105 SS can handle it

I have a 105 ss also and am playing the D+ 60x. I used to be around 110 but only play around once a month with ZERO practice and have seen my swing speed slow down dramatically, as well as other things. Anyway, the 60s seemed too whippy, and the 60x was what I was playing in my Vr Tour. From what I see so far, the Pro head with the D+ 60 x shows tighter dispersion and has a higher ball flight than the Vr Tour. The spin was on average 2-300 less. I'm seeing the same results outside also. It's just so much easier to hit than the Vr Tour. My swing speed is right on the cusp of stiff and x-flex, so I chose x.

Thanks for the info, I have never done well with an X flex shaft, always too harsh for me, I am going to try the 60s and go from there.

Still waiting on my D+ 70g stiff to come in so in the meantime I have picked up a Kuro Kage from the Covert Tour 2.0 in the meantime after reading this thread.

Felt like the S+ is great on smooth swings but loses it if I go after one (I already have a quick transition).

Todd,

I think you'll find that the 60x is nice. I really think it pairs well with these heads. Just put a 6.2 TS in my Flex but still love the smooth feel of the S+.

A few quick thoughts and numbers on the x stiff. I did a comparison of the stock Diamana S+ Stiff vs the Diamana S+ xstiff vs my Fubuki k stiff all in my Vapor Pro.
The xstiff feels so much better than the stiff with my Fubuki k sitting somewhere between them. My swing was a little yucky tonight with a quick transition so I wasn't getting my best distances but all swings were similar for comparison sake. I hit 10 balls with each and averaged things out.

X Stiff carry 276 yards 2250 spin rate

Fubuki K carry 272 yards 2500 spin

Stiff carry 265 yards 2750 spin

The numbers and the feel are much better in the x stiff. With the spin rate so low, I was getting total distances between 295 and 300 whereas the stiff was getting much less total distance, only around 275 to 278. The best numbers I got were with it set at 10.5 degree neutral with the x stiff. Im going to spend an hour with my coach tomorrow or Friday so I'll see how well I can hit this thing. Just some quick numbers I jotted down.

I'm in the 105-110 range, and I went with the D+ 60 X in the 915 - fantastic shaft but will feel really stiff if you don't have a medium quick transition because of the tip stiffness. Have really grown into it 3 rounds in and have seen some beautiful ball flights and good distance early this golf season. Looking forward to hitting it this summer! Can imagine hitting quite a few 290-310.

Ive ordered the D+ 60 x in the pro. Cannot wait to get it, bought it blind as getting to test a lefty around these parts is torturous!! Have played the d+ in a D2 head before and like it a lot. Coming from a sldr with rul 60 x at the mo.

Have a Vapor Flex with stock stiff s+ shaft. Not the right shaft for me, but still produces great results. Low spin head for sure. Waiting in a kiyoshi white x to get to me so I can install that. Can't wait to try the combo
