Agreed, softest that I've hit as well (both US and JDM). As for the forgiveness - I think I could agree with that. Before having my set built I tried out other heads and as far as the blades go they seemed to be fairly forgiving. The heads are small, there's basically no offset and its blade.... I guess what I'm trying to say is that you have to be a blade-guy in order to feel comfortable gaming them.

Either way you slice it they are sexy golf clubs.

The only thing I own that's softer are copper 302's with recoil shafts (and my Yururis are on C-Tapers!).

I would disagree about the Flatbacks having no offset. Imo, there are only a few irons that come close to comparing to Yururis...but their mild offset is my only complaint. It's nothing like Epon blades but it's still more than I prefer. If they had a bit less or no offset at all they'd be the best iron ever!!! ;)

My understanding of offset might be limited. From what I've seen in the "normal" golf club market the Flatbacks have a pretty small amount of offset - relatively speaking. All that being said, the quality and craftsmenship is impressive to see in person.

They seem to hold up really well? Do you clean them after evey round? Oil?
I cleaned and oiled mine for the first couple of months but living in a desert climate I don't have to worry about rust. I haven't oiled them in probably two years and they show no signs of anything except normal wear.

I keep mine very clean and dry. Also, the climte where I live is very dry so I've never had to oil them. They will rust and rust quickly if they are wet/moist so that is something to be mindful of.

Any recommendations on where to get a set of the 2010 flatbacks.

Try Pro Shop Japan, an eBay seller I got mine there without any hassle, you can even make an offer of their listed price, very accommodating chaps, fast response and delivery..

Give them a shout and good luck!

I just bought mine direct from Japan dealer, awesome looking blades, having tried em yet as can't decide on what shafts best suited my swing also waiting for my Miura Baby blades to be shafts, am trying Project X Stiff 5.5 then Modus 3 120 or 130.
Please let us know how the 2 sets compare. I would love to know.
Still having problems on what shafts best suited them, I will try to give my full feedback on those 2 sets to compare asap, absolutely gorgeous and the best looking blades I've seen by far.

I have tried my friend's Baby Blades 6 & PW with a KBS Tour Stiff and feels like butter and great soft feeling thru my hands, you can almost do all kinds of shot saving game, be it high & low pitch, lob shot, chip & run and oh boy does it bites when strike pure, you can actually attack the pin.

When compare between Vokey & Muira wedge, its like apple and oranges in my humble opinion, I am a great fan of Vokey wedges, which I still use for my daily game but somehow Miura heads feels like you can almost "will it" the end result if you know what I mean.

In the meanwhile, I am also looking at the Vega VM2 blades, there eBay seller asking for $700 for complete set, heads only, any comments?

Tourspecgolf gets my recommendation hands down. I've yet to find better customer service in any field!

I have a set of Flat Backs 2010 with Nippon SP Blue and some Epon 302's with Recoil Protos...the Yururi is pure and mushy soft.

I live in Michigan, lots of humidity and it rusted the bottom of my irons...I'd love to know how to remove it but it's not in the face.

I've been highly considering a set of them. My wife and I are planning a trip to Japan next year so I've put it off in hopes I can find a deal on them, or another JDM iron while I'm there. I was able to hit a 2010 Flat Back at Fairway Golf in Kearny Mesa while in California last, one of the best irons I've ever hit. I was sold on the Fourteen blades until I hit them. I'm not a huge Miura fan, they have an odd feel to me.

I have 3 sets I'm parting with:

- Yururi 2010 Flatback Raw 3-PW with Dynamic Gold S300 SL (taper tip), +1/2", D-6 swingweight

- Yururi 2010 Flatback Satin 3-PW with Dynamic Gold S300 SL (taper tip), +1/2", D-6 swingweight

- Yonex MBs, 3-PW, KBS CTaper 120 S-flex, +1/2", D-5 swingweight

They are all listed on craigslist in the DFW area

I've developed arthritis in my left fingers and am going to graphite shafts to absorb shock, hence the reason for selling. All 3 of these are amazing sets....

Mizuno ST-Z 220 9.5, Grafalloy ProLite S

Mizuno JPX 850 5W @ 16*

Mizuno MP-20 3-PW, 2* Up, DG 120 S

Mizuno S18 Wedges 50, 56

Putter - always changing!

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
