Bridgestone Tourstage X Blades

I've not played blades since the early 90s when everyone seemed to play Mizuno TP9s 11s or 19s, I had all three. Then a few weeks ago I saw a set of Bridgestone Tourstage X Blades heads for sale 3-PW, so we done a deal & I sent them off to be fitted into some KBS Tour Vs in Stiff.

We don't get to see hardly any Bridgestone golf equipment in the UK apart from a few golf balls, I don't think I've ever seen a set of irons for sale in shops & only remember seeing the Bridgestone Drivers again back in the early 90s when Raymond Floyd & Jack Nicklaus used them. I do use Bridgestone Golf balls BB330s which I find as good if not better than Srixon & Titleist.

Now these X Blades look lovely & feel great, I've only hit them on the range, as my home course was closed last weekend because of snow.

Anyone else play these irons ? I'm really looking forward to see how they perform.

I used to have the cavity back version of those. I think they were made in 2004-05.

They look similar to what Davis Love was playing while on Bridgestone staff. He was always using TourStage stuff with the B on it.

Had those. really soft. Watch out for small pebbles

I would say early 2000s.

Sharpish leading edge, which was noticeable on muddy playing days.

And as a passive brag.....quite forgiving for their size, forgiving enough for a 8 handicap to break par once and shoot even par 2xs with them over 2 years.

I had TX Tour shafts in them.

They are the 2005 model. Great blades. I have a set. After these they went to a cavity back design. These are the best x blade model IMO.

Very nice find. Those look to be in good shape too, at least judging from the two pictures. If I found a set of those in good condition I'd pick em up too, probably my favorite Bridgestone design yet, along with the J33b.
