My Ping Eye 2 5-wood (real wood...I mean laminate!). Been in the bag (almost every week) since the 80's. Recently took it out but it may jump back in again. Need a new one as this looks a little beat up these days. I hit it straight and about 210-230. That's what I need a 5-wood to do. Anybody have a blondy for sale?

I3 irons have been in my bag since January of 2000. My wife bought me a Gift certificate for Golf Discount that year for Chrstmas and told me to buy a set of irons and be done with always changing them. So I have honored her request, although I have probably had 10 drivers, 10 3woods, 5 wedges 8 fairways/hybrids and one putter since then.

Ping G400 Testing G410.  10.5 set at small -
Ping G410 3, 5 and 7 wood

Ping G410 5 hybrid-not much use.

My Cameron Catalina. Bought it from Edwin Watts in 96' for $99 on closeout. What a deal! Tried different putters always went back to it! Irons since around 2000, Pro Combos, or whenever they hit the market. Waiting for the new ones though!

  • 6 months later...

This thread could be misleading answered by older players who pre-date the club-ho phenomenon. In the 1960s, I had my PowerBilt Citation irons throughout high school and college.

In more recent years, the Cleveland 691 58º wedge also stayed in my bag for perhaps eight seasons. In time, the grooves were so gouged out by the sharpening tool that the club had obviously become non-conforming, even to the naked eye.

That club made the low bounce 58 an absolute staple in my game forever, however. I can't imagine playing without one.

I thought the 580xd was never going to go out of my bag. After about three years it is finally benched. I found a good r5, but Im keeping my old faithful. How about you what club has lasted the longest in your bag, current or past club?

Right now it is my Titleist 980 fairway woods (15 and 19). Only just upgraded my wedges from Cobra Phil Rodgers to the new TM TP Zs. Given the wear teh wedges get this was always going to happen but the fairway woods are still in really good nick.

Ping G2 driver with Aldila NV shaft is the oldest club in my bag. I demo other drivers but haven't found one that is signficantly better for me.

Just had a major overhaul of bag so longest serving club is my Ping G10 which I've had since April 08. Got a new driver I'm currently testing (Vega DAF with Accra SC 85) so the G10 may bite the dust soon. All my other clubs have been bought in last 3 months although as they have all been fitted, I don't intend to have many changes in coming months/years.

I had a set of Wilson Staff irons (2-pw) that I played for over 20 years. Sometimes I miss them but with technology what it is today I can't ever see a club lasting that long again. I do have an old Titleist Bulls Eye Wide Blade model that I won a couple tournaments with years ago but being soft brass it's beat up and ugly (looks like it spent time in the garbage disposal). I'll never get rid of it for sentimental reasons.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
