btw. Looks like Big John is searchin' pretty hard for the magic flat stick. Leave that Rossa there JD. Go with the scotty!

My thoughts exactly, especially after seeing him standing on the Redneck and trying to bend it. Surely he'll go with the Scotty.

What do the Tournament Host do with the Practice Balls from the Manufactures? Do they recycle them and send them to the next tournament or donate them to the volunteers?

He was adjusting a Rossa and usually the practice balls go to the First Tee Program.

Thanks for pointing that out. I assumed it was a Redneck due to his affliation with Dunlop. Looks like Scotty was really working on him in the pics. I am curious to see what he pulls out of his bag this week once he reaches the first green.

It was a SpeedStik in Hidemichi bag. Seemed like every Asian player had one in the bag and used it to warm up.

JD was on the putting green at around 8am and practiced for at least 3 hours that I saw just on putting. It was nice to see him really dig in so soon after a tough Sunday. I think THAT speaks volumes that he really wants to win and get better. He could have easily self-destructed but instead was working very hard at fixing things.

JD is a “feel” player when putting.. Kinda strange to see him out there with a glove on hours after hour. He was not working anything mechanical, rather just rolling smooth putt and putt. Buttery smooth strokes. He seemed to really be focused on “how” the ball rolled off the putter and tempo rather than anything mechanical on his end.

Phil doesn't typically show up to the tourny until Wednesday night. Its not uncommon for him to skip all practice rounds as he has played these course a lot over the years. He is usually the only guy who wont do a practice round.

Hadn't seen the SpeedStik's in white before. Guess maybe that's the version marketed in Asia. I have seen a black version addvertised. I have the one that's red. Thanks for the info.

I've watched JD putt with the putter in one hand, and a cig in the other for hours in Memphis during the FESJC.

My favorite thing to watch him do though is when he gets in the bunker and hits bunker shots the same way, wedge in one hand, cig in the other. Hell, I can't hit a decent bunker shot with two hands. :idhitit:

To see him in person speaks volumes on where he is right now. On tee vee he still looks to be a grip it and rip it guy, but to see him on the range or in the fairway in person, he's a smooth as buttah.

An excellent job you've done here, I'm enjoying this a bunch. You have captured a picture of a very new Bobby Grace MOI GT. Very Kool pics here, thanks 9Six4. :idhitit:

Cally BB04 1 iron in that Callaway staff bag with the X-tours in it.  At least that's what it looks like to me.  And somebody stuck a homemade "X-Tour" medallion on it!

Is it possible to tell?  BB04?  BB96?

Who's the Callaway staffplayer that those belong to?

49155[/snapback]

The bag belongs to Jim Carter - http://tour.callawaygolf.com/gdc/tourcentr...our=PGA&id=1175

The 1-iron caught my eye also and I went up a took a real good look, and almost fell down. Its a knock-off BB! :idhitit:
