Nike footwear 2016

Gave the Air Zoom 90's a go. Felt comfortable enough walking around the house. Took them to the range yesterday afternoon, it wasn't that hot low 80's and a little humid. 15 minutes in my feet were soaked with sweat. These shoes do not breath AT ALL. Literally walked up to my car and changed back into my FI Impact 2's for the rest of my practice session and put them right back in the box. They're getting returned tomorrow, and I ordered a backup pair of the FI Impact 2's.

Why would you expect a waterproof shoe to breathe?

My FI Impact 2's are waterproof and breath just fine.

Good man, knew you would eventually give up and get a pair, even though they are now almost half off the original price.

I will join you with a purchase of the Black LF1's from DGW this morning.

Ironically, I will strike a ball with my first Nike club tomorrow morning, taking the Flex 440 and VF 3 wood out for a run.

Condolences to all who lost work, and to the hardcore guys in here.....Les, Mula, Flagrant, juice, Tre, Timmy (sure I missed a few).

More condolences to those affected by the getting laid off/pay cut. Like most on here, we were just hardcore supporters, continuing to support.

At the end, golf will still continue without Nike Golf equipment. Still a great news that apparel and footwear is still around. Would be worse if got rid of everything all together.

Nike Golf club app is coming next month, I'm sure we will be looking forward to that.

I played what I like. Played other clubs before, but felt like Nike was for me, suited my style. Very cool they showed love back by sending myself and others cool packages, headcovers, etc...

No big deal, will still be be playing golf with Nike Golf apparel and footwear. Top-Notch footwear. That no one can doubt. Will use the clubs till they're dusted.

All good things must come to an end..

Dangit! I feel you on the shoe trials though, i've bought/returned so many pairs of shoes this year. But i'm finally narrowing down what ones I really like. Looking forward to a lot of these hitting clearance over the winter/next spring when new stuff rolls out so I can snatch a lot of them up and be set for life, as you said.

I've never been a Nike equipment guy but their newer stuff had me intrigued, shame for those who were reps or hardcare Nike equipment guys.

I am however, pretty obsessed with Nike soft goods so I'm glad that will continue! Now I'm ready for the 2017 footwear

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but does anyone know of the elite low release date?

I believe it's been scrapped from the latest that i've heard but it anything it will be 8/15

Wow, that's too bad. Did you hear why? Any other of their newer offerings scrapped? The new footwear looks so promising.

no idea, things were pretty hush hush the past couple weeks for obvious reasons now

Well I'm bummed. I've been reading everyone's posts (thanks for the shout-out Warrick) and it seems that all of us Nike "fanboys" are taking it about the same. I will rock my Nike clubs for at least another season. I haven't been ho'ing lately because I love my clubs so much. My favorite forum is the Style and Apparel forum now so I suspect that will stay the same since Nike will still be a beast in the soft goods industry.

I suspect Nike to go FULL steam ahead on getting guys signed to apparel deals, which will mean an even better assortment of styles than they had this year (I feel ilke they truly knocked it out the park with the variations this year). I can see a lot of the younger, more stylish guys signing with Nike (the ones that don't want to sign an equipment/apparel deal with Puma). I'll give it two years before we see 40% of top tour players rocking Nike gear. They will be even stronger because of the apparel takeover that is about to happen. This means a future line of Lunar Fires, Chukkas, LF1s, AF90s, Air Zoom Attacks, FI Premiers, and of course, Lunar Controls (I know I missed a few styles, but I think you guys get the point).

Sad to see the equipment go (which means the club ho in me will eventually return), BUT I'm excited to see what the future holds for the apparel and for Nike Golf in general!!!!

Like Mula mentioned. I'm sure Rory will still be with Nike apparel but of course no longer with clubs.

If he signs back with titleist, you can assume clubs are indeed titleist but I'm sure apparel and footwear is Nike. I can see that with a lot of other Nike athletes, back to titleist but rocking Nike gear.

Brooks, Watney, Kyle Stanley, Noh, etc...

Of course fun to speculate where all will end up, it'll be a while since Tiger signs a new deal. It was reported when he comes back he will still play Nike, but I'm sure he will eventually transition out.

Yo Lesmond, I'm betting that PXG is chomping at the bit to sign more ex-Nike guys. I could actually see Rory and Tiger signing with Parsons for clubs because they can tinker more with their line and get them to develop the perfect club for their games. It would be a win-win for PXG and the players because PXG might actually try to justify their prices if they have big name players on their payroll.

Regarding Rors and T, I highly doubt it since PXG doesn't even have a forged blade offering. Anyway, this is a footwear thread so I will stop being :offtopic2: .

In the Bag:

  • TaylorMade V-Steel 15° 3-Wood
  • Titleist Spin Milled 56° and 60° Wedges

0311T looks like it would be a start. Tiger is such a tinkerer that no one currently makes what he wants, but I'm sure PXG would invest in him and Rory for their input.

Parsons might be interested in Rory but not Tiger according to this interview with Bob.
