Has anyone used Golfmatch and had good results? I love the idea of helping both people and courses fill tee sheets. It's almost always a pleasure meeting new people on the course. Then I join and get the app and it's Instagram Golf Edition. 20-30 something women posting pics if them posing or hawking a product. Anyway, has anyone go nd the app useful besides getting likes and attention from bros?

The main feed seems pretty useless for anything other than being the Instagram of Golf that mostly features women that happen to be holding a golf club. However there seems to be something with the groups. I've joined a State and Local group that someone created and while it's Winter in Michigan, a lot of folks have met up to play in the late fall or are already planning meet ups for this Spring. So as far as finding people to Golf with I think joining some local groups might be the way to go.

Yeah I rarely scroll through the main feed. But have talked to several people in my area through GolfMatch. Hope to play golf with a few of them this spring and summer. We are actually talking about having a 2 man scramble this spring.

It's definitely like the Instagram of golf. That said, you see posters you connect with and enjoy their content more than others. The groups are pretty cool, I already met a good friend thru the app and now we are regular golfing buddies.

Downloaded GolfMatch last year and got tired of it being another social media outlet for people to post dumb s***.

 

On a whim, I reopened the application last week and noticed they have a feature to affiliate yourself with a home course. Since I recently joined a private club I searched my course. Found a golfer in my age range and skill level. Shot him a quick PM and we played the next weekend.

 

I'd say it's beneficial if you're looking to find golfers with the same skill level.

it's getting better and better, small groups are way to go to connect to golfers , I have done it a few times and have made good connections and one is now a good friend. GM is now starting regional and national small events with cool prizes. It will also soon be joining up with golfnow to integrated the matches with golfnow tee times, but yes main feed has become golf babe's posing like instagram.

Anyone else on golfmatch? I put together a group of low single digit players that has about 200 people all SoCal based. Working on getting a tourney together

I'm on it in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area. Kentucky seems to be pretty active and getting more so. Played with a good group of guys recently.

Yea I have it. Have not met a whole lot of people in my area. Was able to go to an outing in Pinehurst. Played Tobacco Road and Mid Pines at a huge discount.

I also downloaded this app recently and haven't really used it much but like the idea of it. In SoCal but sadly am not a low single handicap. :(
