Milwaukee area courses

Will be in Milwaukee on April 30th - May 3rd for a work conference and will be looking to get a few rounds in on Saturday and Sunday before the conference starts. We played Whistling Straits last year. Erin Hills doesn't open til May 8th. What other courses should we look at playing. Are the Irish, Meadows or River courses worth it?

Washington County is very close to Erin Hills and is in awesome shapely the spring

This time of year, you need something more hilly/linksy so you're not playing out of flat muddy lies. Your history suggests you can drive. Head west and southwest for something more hilly and dry. And save the fees you're spending at the 19th hole!

 

Try Morningstar, Broadlands, or Nagawaukee. Better conditions. Lower green fees. Nice layouts!

Playing straits again for $150 and the Irish for $70 so not to bad... Blackwolf Run had a tournament so we couldn't play the river or the meadows.

They gave it to me when I called and asked what the specials were right for this time. I booked months ago though.

The Bull in Sheboygan. If you haven't played it before, you'll absolutely love it!

Played the Irish and the Straits course yesterday. It looked like it was going to be an awful day but turned out to be blue skies but very cold and windy. We several holes with 4 club winds. I shot 78 on the straits last year with a triple on 18. This year shot 89 on Irish and 89 on Straits mostly bc I'm not as good but definitely tough conditions. Both courses were in awesome shape greens had been punched a few weeks ago but we're getting back to rolling very true. We had the same caddie for all 36 holes. He was a newer one only 2nd year there but was really good and had tons of hustle.
