Bushnell Tour V4 Slope vs Tour X

Played a few rounds with the V4 now. The focus slide is difficult to move but I have never really felt the need to refocus anyway. Can't compare it to a V3/X/Z6 as I've never owed one but the V4 is light, quick enough and accurate.

Just picked up a Tour X for $362 shipped from Jet.com using current coupon code promo. At first I wanted the V4 w/slope but after seeing the X on Jet.com for the same cost as V4 figured Id go with the extra magnification. Also like the size of the X with larger hands I feel its easier to keep stable. Just my .02

I just got the V4 slope and really wanted to like it but I'm having trouble getting the yardage.

Very rarely does it work first time and hardly ever jolts. Sometimes it shows nothing or gets stuck on some crazy yardages like 239 when I know it's only half of that at best.

Not sure if it's defective or what but I'm tired of wasting time with it. Nothing but trouble this Saturday and Sunday. It was taking so much time to get a number I would end up asking someone in my group " can you please shoot this, I know mine is wrong" They would shoot it with a V3 or whatever and get a number while I'm still trying to get anything meaningful out of mine.

I will be returning it ASAP to see it it's a bad one or replace it with something else.

my tour x still rarely jolts, gives different yardages, and today the rubber eye piece came unglued......this was maybe the 6th time I used it

Tried both. Went with the Tour X. Better magnification, save $$$, red/black option, and doesn't feel like a cheap POS. I still can't believe how light/fake feeling the V4 is.

I've never dealt with this website before so can't attest to anything about it, but I ordered my V3 Slope from them for $279.99 to my door. Supposed to ship out today so we'll see, but being optimistic.

Sorry, just now saw this. Yes, I got the V3 within just a few days and everything checked out. Love it. Not sure how or why they've got them priced cheaper, but not going to complain.

The Tour X is so good! I really like the size much better than the V4. That allowed me to keep it more stable and get great yardages first time, every time. The red display is awesome and the slope correction is a stroke saver for sure.

If I had to choose between the V3 and the Tour X I'd likely pick the Tour X.

The Vivid display alone is worth the price to me. On the other hand I would really prefer not to have to switch face plates etc. and I do like the more compact size.

That said, I opted for the Z6 after spending time with each on course. More compact than both the V4 and Tour X, I don't need slope, it picked up the pin quicker and the yardages and Jolt are more consistent, it is waterproof and has 6x magnification.

Just something else to add to the mix. To be honest, all of the rangefinders are good pieces of gear and you are unlikely to go wrong with any choice.
