1/2 inch longer in wedges?

I was recently fitted for Mizuno irons in 1/2 longer than standard .. I want to get some wedges .. My question is should i get the wedges as well 1/2 longer .. Thanks

If you play full swings with your wedges the extra length would match your irons' swing. You could always grip down 1/2" for chips and pitches.

I play all my wedges to the same 36 inch length, and have seen a great improvement in my wedge play since I made the change. I am 6'2" and play .25 over for the rest of my irons. YMMV.

Consistency is key. Once you get fitted try and map in throughout the bag.

Absitively, posolutely. I Need 1/2-3/4" longer in my irons and have lob thru gap at 36.

If it works for you it is a good idea. How tall a person is doesn't mean they need extended irons, what matters is wrist to floor measurement.

1/2 longer than standard for Mizuno, or standard for other manufacturers? Mizuno used to measure length without grips, which results in measurements 1/2 inch shorter than other manufacturers who measure with grips.

I also have all my wedges the same length, PW - LW. It has helped my short game a lot.

Just found this thread and I’m considering doing the same bc I feel so much more comfortable over the PW than the shorter wedges

Do it. And buy a couple rolls of lead tape to tune them up for the very short pitches and flops. It will not hurt the full swing game.

My irons are 1/2” over through PW and my GW, SW and LW are 1/4” over. Ends up with PW though LW all 1/4” apart. Works well for me and the swing weights line up nicely.
