Acer XV Pro irons

I need a new set of irons and I was wondering if anyone is using the Acer XV Pro irons. And if so, how do you like them compared to the other big OEM's? They look great on the pictures and at 9.95 per head I was just curious about them. Thanks!

I have the standard XVs as my backup set (graphite for tendonitis) and really like them. Feel is quite nice and for a GI club the soles are not huge. They were spot on for weight/loft/lie when I received them for building.

I have a set of XV Pro 4-SW with FST Pro R-flex shafts(115g). They play nicely: good distance, good feel and seem moderately workable.

I built a set and liked them. A real sleeper. Super solid feel and they set up nice behind the ball. I wish they made a XV version that had the same offset as the Pro but the bigger head of the regular.

Ok, thanks everyone. It's hard to find reviews on some of these clubs so it's good to know they're a solid set of irons.

Old thread, but I just bought a set of these heads (6-P), plus the XB wedges (50-54-58), and paired them with the Apollo Acculite 95 shafts. Played first round with them today, and loved the feel of the irons. Playing the Cally XRs, the Acer head is smaller, and the lofts are weaker than the Cally irons, but they didn't seem to have much difference in distance. As Nessism said, definitely a sleeper iron.

I have a set at our Florida house. I keep them for spares as we get lots of visitors in the winter. Excellent sticks. Solid performers. I have shot some of my best rounds with them. I built the ACER XB Satin wedges to go with them.

built a 8 iron tester because of you. Did not disappoint, it's a real solid feeling club. Look great if you scotch brite them like you did

never hit the pro's but i really like the tour blade,workable but still forgiving, not a true blade by any stretch of the imigination. also a fan of the xv hybrid as well

I have been intrigued to try these irons and other Acer clubs but do not have the courage of shopping without the possibilty to try clubs before purchase...☺️

Well do like Chris Mac did. Buy one iron head of your choosing and shaft it up like you want to and try it. If you have a shaft and do your own builds that would be what I suggest. If you do not like it at least you will only be out of $9.95 plaus shipping I assume
