Torn - MD2 Tour Grind or C?

Let me first state that I am a one wedge player on 99% of my ship shots and that has been a 58 degree Cleveland DSG lately. I have both Iteach's and Monte's short game videos. I think they are pretty similar methods with some minor differences. Having said that, from what I understand, it appears Dan recommends roughly 12 degrees of bounce for your wedge. I believe what I've read states the MD2 C grind is a wonderful grind for his method. After reading about the Tour grind, everyone seems to really like this wedge - basically a C grind with a little less bounce - 9 degrees I believe. Most people seem to prefer the straighter leading edge and the way it sits closer to the turf when opened up. I would like both of those things as well. My issue is.... does the Tour grind still work well for Dan's method or is there not enough bounce? I'm definitely getting one of these 2 wedges in a 58 degree (and probably a 54 as well - maybe I should get the 54 with more bounce and chip with that??) .... I'm just really torn on which one would suit my needs better. So basically I'm looking for advice with these issues. Thanks in advance for any help or comments.

Both are so simliar it won't make a ton of difference to be honest. I"m not a fan of the face on the MD2's so my vote is MD3 C grind.

If I'm playing off a tight lie and trying to use a lob wedge with 12 degrees of bounce then I can bet that I will get several skulled shots. 8-9 degrees of bounce works perfect for me. My preference would be the MD Tour.

I have the MD tour 56 bent to 59 for the 3 extra degrees of bounce(11) and the md3 52 bent to 53 and Its the best options and wedge setup possible and I tried EVERY manufacturer last season with no budget. I really cant stress how good the md 2 tour feel and the md3 are great performers just not as good of feel but more durable. Good luck!

I played jaws MD 56 & 60 for 4 years & spun the hell out of full shots & hop & stopped partial shots like no other!!

They were starting to show some ware & I opted to get some MD3 wedges, 56C & 60C( I like narrow, relieved soles)

Before I could get to hit the new wedges, I got a crazy deal on some MD2tg wedges 54 & 60, took those too.

Dilemma, three sets of wedges????

Took all three to the range, of the three, I could not put the jaws down as I was spinning them as usual & they felt like butter. Next in the spin would just go to the MD3 then MD2.

However it is not by much, but the MD2 felt much nicer & had a much better turf interaction than the MD3.

I thought I'd put the MD2 in play for a few games to see how they work out, 2 months later and they still in the bag.

I've really adapted to them & have no intention of swapping them for the MD3. They are very very good, not as spin my as the Jaws but feel every bit as good! The MD3 performed as well as the MD2 with a little better spin but MD2 are better overall, they are in the bag to stay!
