Leupold... BEYOND EXPECTATIONS, Customer Service

Want to sing the Praises of Leupold. Not the biggest player in the range finder game, but will have my business. I bought a GX-1 probably around 8 years ago. Solid range finder, does its job. Well 1 month ago, it just stopped working. It would not pick up on a target. I contacted the Customer service team of Leupold. I sent it back for repair. Today, I received a brand new GX-1 (with 2 batteries). NO CHARGE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

 

I was not expecting this. This is above and beyond the level of service than i deserved. CONGRATS LEUPOLD!!

They are quick to give new units out. Gotta love that. My experience was same, only my GX3 crapped out after only a couple of years. They sent a new one but it's flaky. I love it when it's working right, but that's not all the time and I don't want to hassle with another return until it totally craps out. I like my Leupold, only I wish the durability was better so we didn't have to relay on their warranty generosity.

I've got both a hunting unit and a golf unit. I also use Leupold optics on rifles. I never hesitate to use their service, if required. Some have been customization requests on riflescopes, some have been warranty claims due to fogging or whatever. The lasers have held up fine.

 

I would never hesitate to send it in, if it was not acting like it did the day I bought it.

My GX-4i that I bought 5 yrs ago was dead. Sent it back to Leupold and 7 weeks later: a brand NEW GX-4i2 arrived free of charge. I am a Leupold customer for live!!!!

Similar experience on my part re: replacement GX-4i2. BUMP for Leupold -- backing up their prices with quality customer service.

Owned 3 Bushnells, most recently the tournament 1600. Not even 3 years old it breaks and they are unwilling to replace it. They offered to buy it from me and give me a discount towards a new model. After stories like this and knowing Leupold's quality in optics manufacturing I made the switch and I have 'no ragrets.'

Same experience here. GX-3 battery door became a little loose - had to remove the battery and re-insert for it to work. Sent it in to CS and received a new GX-3i a few weeks later. If there is a laser in my bag it will always be a Leupold.

Had similar issue and they sent out a new and latest model, mine was 3 years old!!! Fan for life, they support Military and Law Enforcement!!

Bought a GX-3 years ago. It starting acting wonky a couple of years later. Sent it in to Leupold, and they sent me back a brand new GX-3i.

That one got flaky a few months ago. I sent it back to them and they sent a new GX-3i2. I decided if I was going to have another it would have slope. I contacted them and they let me send the new replacement GX-3i2 back. I paid $150 and they sent me their brand new GX-5i3.

This is how a company stays in business for so long. Most of my rifles have leupold scopes.

I also had a great experience with Leupold. My gx 3 which is at least 5 years old was having some minor fading issues with the display. I sent it in to be fixed, but they are sending me a brand new gx3i2. Have to say I will never buy another brand of optics.
