Golfing In Miami - Staying in Southbeach

Hello All,

 

ill be heading to Miami early March and Wife and I are staying in south beach.

Want to get 2 or 3 rounds in - Any course recommendations?

 

I am staying close to Miami Beach Golf club - I've played both turnburry courses (Miller and Soffer) Years ago in adventura but not sure I want to drive that far out as I Wont have a car....

 

Doral?

 

Money isn't a concern and I have to play early as I don't want to waste the day - will be playing as a single.

Big fan of Doral but it's become really pricey. If money is no object, walk the Blue Monster with a caddie.

that would be great - looks to be a 700 dollar round with a premium caddie... Money isn't a factor but it sure is when a round of golf is over 400! lol

Try Crandon Key Biscayne. It's a little ways out, but was in great shape last time I was there

Unfortunately a lot better golf to be had 30 - 60 minutes north of where you will be. I could give u a lot of recommendations in broward/palm beach.

+1 for Crandon. The trees cover a lot more of the bay than they used to, but it's a fun course and a great location. If you don't mind an Uber you could head out to the Biltmore, or shorter to get up to Normandy Shores. Both good courses that won't take all day to get to.

 

Might be a long shot but see if your hotel can hook you up at Indian Creek (private but can be had with a connection).

ive played biltmore - fun short little course. I will look into Crandon. Normady Shores is pretty cheap just called they will give me a deal.

any good fitting stores with outdoor driving ranges in the miami area?? Or a good area for lessons???

McClean's school is at Doral. A pretty far hike from you but a solid facility and home to True Spec (I've heard good things but never been myself). Otherwise imho most of the good spots are up here in Palm Beach.

I've played Normandy as well and for the price it's great, was pretty cheap last time. Crandon is definitely a couple steps above, but a couple steps above in price too

normandy shores, miami beach golf and miami shores are the ones I want to know about myself - played biltmore, doral and soffer and miller in miami and maybe up in west palm...

 

Anyone play the first 3 I mentioned?

so I played miami shores and really enjoyed it!

 

right close to the hotel enough so that I didn't even bother playing anywhere else.

 

3 rounds and had a great time.
