Yup. Grew up on 3rd st Manhattan. I'm just glad the Gmen are the league's premier Pat killers. I think this will be a good year for Blue if their O line can keep Eli on his feet.

Both games against the Astros were good close pitching battles. Just a bad base running execution (Byrd), an incredible defensive throw-out (Gardner), and one dropped ball at home plate (Sanchez) is the difference. Judge is always fighting his OTT left field swing, and his bat will wake up again, the question is will it be this season or next? They should get Jeter in there to teach him the in to out swing...

YEAH! Go baby bombers! Judges bat is coming around. He is old beyond his years. You can't tell how he is doing just from his demeanor on the field. Great, horrible, indifferent, he has a level head. I think his 2 great defensive plays brought his offense around. Defense and offense are intimately linked in mysterious ways in different sports. NY now has the edge in mo.

OK I now believe. They can now hit any pitcher on the planet. CC, Tanaka, Severino, Roberts, Chapman, and even bullpen relievers I never heard of are stepping up. I'm getting that funny feeling. They are really meshing, gelling, and believing in themselves.

Man, I LOVE this team. Nobody expected them to be where they are which I think has helped their mentality. I was at game 3 of the ALDS when Birdie went deep and we won 1-0, and FINALLY the new stadium felt like the old stadium. One thing I have hated about the new stadium is how corporate it can feel with all the luxury boxes and guys in suits entertaining clients without giving a damn whats happening on the field. That game I was at was electric with the entire stadium cheering any time there were 2 strikes (not just when there were two outs) and fans going berserk and high five-ing(?) each other.

 

Bring on Verlander... He's gotta feel a little taxed after that 120+ inning performance. Let's end it on Friday! Go Yanks

My Brotha! I have followed the Yanks since I was a toddler and I can always feel when they get the mojo going, and they got it going right now. Because of media, Judge has become a focal point, whether he likes it or not, and when he made those crucial defensive plays his bat came alive, which sparked the rest of the Yankkee bats, and now they are banging on all cylinders. Bring on Verlander. Let's do this!!!

I have a feeling the Astros and Yankees are going to see a lot of each other in the post season both are young teams who won't have much competition except from maybe Boston.

 

As a Mets fan baseball has been over for quite some time, since July.

Thank you! I'm sure it won't be the last time we meet again in the playoffs. I always rooted for the yankees Ron Guidry is a legend around here in south louisiana. small coincidence his nephew lives across the street from me...part of a great era for them.

I'll also be rooting for the Stros. Although it was long before my youth, as a native NYer, I have have inherited a dislike for the first team in major sports that deserted their fans and home town. And as New2 said I think the Yanks and Stros will be starting a long playoff rivalry. Both really strong in every aspect of the game. That little Altuvae dude is unreal.
