What can I expect different between the two when putting into my wedges?

What will I gain? What will I lose?

Any thoughts or experiences would be great.

I have S400 in 50* and x100 in 54*. x100 in rest of irons. They play the same in my experience. Tight dispersion, solid feedback.

Do you find that you spin the ball less with the X100 compared to the S400? I was thinking of doing X100 in the PW and 50* to try and reduce the spin that I get with them or go all X100 across the board.

It's probably more feel than anything as ss with a wedge isn't going to flex the shaft hard. I found that I can keep the s400 lower and control the spin better, and it just feels smoother. The x100 launches higher for me. I use Modus iron shafts and s400 wedge shafts, and if I had to use DG in my irons I would probably double hard step the s400's as I think they feel way better and smoother than the X100's.

If you can hit them both on a trackman or flightscope or into greens and watch the behavior. But don't sweat the swing speed, Koepka uses s400 in his wedges and he's a gorilla

I have no issues with spin on full shots or around the green. On both clubs the shots behave how I have expected both around the greens and on full shots If the expense is the same, I'd go s400 in wedges just because that is what is more popular. Only reason I have the x100 instead of the s400 is because I already had one and didn't want to spend the extra money to get a new shaft given how close they are to each other.

I prefer X100's in my wedges for consistency with my irons. YMMV

You can expect the S400 to play 'slightly' less than one full flex softer than the X100. What that equals for shot performance and feel can vary for different players

I have x100. I tend to pull s400s a bit and it screwed me up having to aim right for just wedges

X100 8 iron shafts in 54-58 straight in x100 gap. I feel o get more spin with the x100.

I play X100 softstepped in my irons and S400s in my wedges - I didn't want to do X100 in wedges because of too much stiffness especially regarding to partial shots. With S400s, I get a lower launch on full shots while still able to hit it high on partial shots if desired.
