4 Wood Equivalent to a hybrid?

My question for today is in the title. Is a classic 4 wood essentially equivalent to carrying a hybrid? On mine, the shaft is longer, steel vs graphite. I'm trying to decide if I can just carry the 4 wood (I like it anyway) and trade the hybrid for a 2 Iron.

 

Seems like the lofts are very close, and most of the time I hit both of them pretty well.

 

Any thoughts?

I would think the Ginty, or Baffler would be considered more "hybrid" than 4 wood. Personally I find a vintage 4 wood a better fit for me than the modern hybrid.

I think the question to ask is,"How often do you use the 2 iron, or the hybrid?"

2 hybrid or even a 1 hybrid. I have a one hybrid Adams Speed slot or something that I CAN hit 230, but am too inconsistent with it so it has stayed home, and is now on eBay, neat club just a different feel then my others.

Thing is, the 2 iron is kind of a trouble club for me. I use it off the tee into the wind, and out from under low hanging branches to hit a punch shot. Obviously if I was in the fairway it might have other uses. The fourwood I use from the fairway. The hybrid I can use from either the fairway or rough. A 4 wood from under the trees wouldn't work for me. The hybrid might. Gotta fix that slice!
